Yesterday, I saw a movie named Wild Wild Country.
In this movie, we saw a community that implemented the core concept of communism—where everything is owned by all members of the community, and people do the work they are capable of while receiving equal necessities like food, clothes, education, and healthcare. This community was created by a so-called spiritual leader, Bhagwan Rajneesh, known as OSHO, who established his own rules and forms of meditation. Most of the people who joined him were angry or tired of existing cultures and traditions and sought an escape route. In his ashram, they were allowed to do things considered taboo in normal societies and were made to believe they were happier here than in their actual lives outside the ashram, such as having s*x without marriage or engaging in s*xual activities freely, regardless of location or partner.

If I talk about the other main character of the movie named Sheela, who was OSHO's secretary, she believed her whole life that OSHO loved her, and she committed many unethical acts for him, such as poisoning an entire city or attempting to kill OSHO's doctor because he was ordered by OSHO to administer a poison injection that would cause a painless death, as OSHO believed natural death could be painful.

The movie reveals the evil side of a spiritual leader who manipulated people, teaching his followers to reject material possessions while he himself lived a luxurious, materialistic lifestyle—completely contradicting his teachings. OSHO began by teaching about creating a new, reborn human being, claiming religion didn't matter here. Initially, he aimed to build a peaceful community, but over time, he and his followers presented themselves as adherents of a new religion created by OSHO. Outsiders labeled them a cult, and while OSHO's followers initially denied this, they eventually acted like cult members, declaring when the U.S. government wanted to arrest OSHO, "You'll have to kill us before taking OSHO," or "Drop a bomb on us, but you'll never capture him."

In my opinion, OSHO was a hypocrite who used people and their money. When his followers left him after years of service, he blamed and accused them of various crimes, showing his inability to control his own anger. If he couldn't manage his own emotions, how could he help others eliminate theirs?

I felt sad seeing how they exploited homeless people for political gain and then discarded them when they were no longer useful. Imagine being homeless, facing daily hardships, and being labeled a criminal by society. No one cares about you, and you feel unimportant. Then, someone comes and says, "I'll give you a home, and you belong to us." You feel happy, seeing them as a savior, only to later realize they used you for their own purposes. When they no longer need you, they throw you out. How would you feel after that? OSHO and his followers did this to thousands of homeless people.

People like OSHO, who abandon their followers in difficult times and always blame them for their own failures, cannot genuinely help others. They view people as lab rats, using them for experiments without caring about their feelings or suffering. When things go wrong, they call it a failed experiment and move on, showing no regard for the lives they've ruined.
