Proud Moment for LCWU

LCWU in collaboration with UET Lahore as the leading partner, has for the first time in its history secured an Erasmus EU funded project under EDU 2025 CBHE, worth €800,000 . Project BRIDGE (Building Resources for Innovation, Digital Growth, and Empowerment) reflects LCWU’s expanding role in global collaboration.

Under the patronage of Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, the project team includes Dr. Naveed Iqbal (Director WebTV & Assistant Professor, Mass Communication), Engr. Dr. Aqsa Shabbir (Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering), and Dr. Sahar Zia (Assistant Professor, Geography) partnering with UET Lahore and other international and national universities.

In line with the Government of Punjab’s Green Initiative Program, the Transport Office at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) successfully organized a vehicle emission testing and sticker issuance campaign on August 8, 2025, at the campus. The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) team tested and facilitated nearly 150 vehicles, supporting efforts to enhance environmental protection, promote road safety, and safeguard staff well-being.

A Continuation of the Self Echo Series showcased the introspective journeys of eight visionary designers through compelling visual storytelling. Curated by Anum Zaheer under the supervision of Ms. Farhana Naz, HOD Interior Design Department LCWU, the event was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Amna Moazzam on the behalf of Vice Chancellor LCWU, along with Prof Dr. Yousaf Awan Dean, School of Architecture and Urbanism, Institute for Art and Culture, and distinguished guests from IAC, Lahore. The exhibition transformed the space into a collective canvas of thought and emotions
