Local media quoting officials said, the government coalition partners, including Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-i-Azam and Muttahida Qaumi Movement, will be given ministries as promised by the incumbent setup.
Besides the addition of new members, a few sitting ministers will also be removed in light of the performance. Meanwhile, PM’s close friend Zulfi Bukhari is reportedly in the list of new members other than Moonis Elahi of the PML-Q. Bukhari earlier resigned over an inquiry against his alleged involvement in the Rawalpindi Ring Road scam.
Media reports also claimed that the Balochistan Awami Party will also be given ministries whereas the matter of Faisal Vawda is undecided for time being.

Former fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, believes that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should have appointed pacer, Hasan Ali, as the captain of the national side instead of star batsman, Babar Azam. Akhtar said that pressure should not have been added to Babar’s shoulders and his only focus should have been to perform with the bat.
Akhtar said that Hasan Ali possesses a great cricketing mind and has the personality to lift up his teammates.
“I would have played him [Babar Azam] as a batsman. If I had to select a captain from this team, it would have been Hasan Ali as he has the spark and intelligence. My approach is completely different, I would have made Babar a great batsman and put pressure on him to play a certain type of innings so that the entire Pakistan team plays around him,” Akhtar said.

France and Greece on Monday joined countries that are reimposing tighter Covid-19 restrictions to stem the surge of Delta variant infections threatening the global fight against the pandemic.
The virus has killed more than four million people since first emerging in China in late 2019, and attempts to halt its spread are being hampered by mutations creating highly contagious variants such as Delta, first seen in India.
Vaccines are seen as the best way to allow economies to reopen while keeping the public safe. But patchy roll-outs of the jabs – whether through lack of supplies, vaccine hesitancy or slow government responses – threaten global efforts to escape the pandemic.
European governments are turning to more coercive measures to get more of their populations to sign up for the jabs.

Eleven people die every minute of hunger, according to a new report by Oxfam, which also found the number of those facing famine-like conditions globally has increased by six times over the past year.
Published on Friday, “The Hunger Virus Multiplies” report said the death toll from famine outpaces that of COVID-19, which kills about seven people per minute.
“The statistics are staggering, but we must remember that these figures are made up of individual people facing unimaginable suffering. Even one person is too many,” said Abby Maxman, Oxfam America’s president and chief executive officer.
According to the charity, 155 million people around the world now live at crisis levels of food insecurity or worse – some 20 million more than last year. About two-thirds of them face hunger because their country is in military conflict.

Big bodies are good for cold places.
That's the gist of a foundational rule in ecology that has been around since the mid-1800s: Animals that live in colder places tend to have larger bodies, especially birds and mammals that need to regulate their body temperatures. For example, some of the largest whale and bear species have evolved in the coldest reaches of the planet.
The rule applies broadly to modern humans too. Populations that evolved in colder places generally have bigger bodies.
That's also true of human ancestors, a new study finds. The research offers conclusive evidence that human body size and climate are historically connected.
