The media industry in Pakistan is developing at a rapid rate, with increasing number of channels and production houses, opening their doors for the business, soon the dearth of skilled and trained individuals that the industry is facing will be a major concern. Though Pakistan is no stranger to talent, it has not produced a good film director or producer in ages. What we lack in skill and schoolin
g, we more than make up with drive, ambition and talent. Various workshops conducted in different cities of Pakistan have shown that amateur performers all over the country are eager to hone their skills and make their mark in assorted fields of the media. We are seeing new challenges in all fields; News everyday reports of assassinations, kidnappings and corruption. In these times the youth needs an outlet for self expression and even self discovery. It is keeping all these factors in mind that we have planned to set up “Media Lyceum”--------- Having conducted the survey of the market and holding preliminary workshops, we have discovered that a media institute is required in the need of the hour. It will be an academy for instruction in disparate disciplines of the performing arts.
