An anti-Israel protest in front of the United States Embassy in Kuala Lumpur turned chaotic following tensions between the police and participants after the latter blocked entry and exit routes to the building.

The demonstration, organised by an NGO, was held to protest the detention of Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) activists by Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) this morning.

Tensions flared slightly when police attempted to disperse demonstrators who were obstructing traffic.
