ہزارہ یونیورسٹی مانسہرہ کے ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف کمیونی کیشن اینڈ میڈیا اسٹڈیز کی بورڈ آف اسٹڈیز9واں اجلاس منعقد ہوا جس کی صدارت شعبہ کے چیئرمین ڈاکٹر ماجد الغفار نے کی۔اجلاس میں بی ایس، ایم ایس اور پی ایچ ڈی پروگرامز کے نصاب پر نظرِ ثانی اور اس میں مزید بہتری لانے کے حوالے سے غور و خوض کرتے ہوئے سفارشات مرتب کی گئیں۔ڈاکٹر ماجد الغفار نے اجلاس کے شرکاء سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بورڈ آف اسٹڈیز کا بنیادی مقصد کورسز کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کرتے ہوئے انہیں مارکیٹ کے تقاضوں اور ابلاغی صنعت کی پیشہ ورانہ ضروریات کے مطابق ڈھالنا ہے تاکہ طلباء کو عصری تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ پیشہ ورانہ اور معیاری تعلیم فراہم کی جا سکے جس سے وہ عملی زندگی میں اپنی متعلقہ فیلڈ میں بہتر کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرنے کے قابل ہوں۔ڈاکٹر ماجد الغفار نے بورڈ آف سٹڈیز کے ممبران کی رہنمائی اور آراء کو سراہا ۔اجلاس میں ممتاز ماہرینِ تعلیم جن میں گومل یونیورسٹی ڈی آئی خان کے وائس چانسلر ڈاکٹر ظفر اقبال ، چیئرمین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ماس کمیونی کیشن علامہ اقبال اوپن یونیورسٹی ڈاکٹر بخت روان، بحریہ یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد کے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شبیر حسین اورنمل یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد کے ڈاکٹر حسنین سید کے علاوہ ڈاکٹر شجاعت علی خان، ڈاکٹر اعظم جان، لیاقت خان راحت، شفقت علی، سمیع اللہ اور خائستہ رحمان شامل تھے نے شرکت کی۔

آج بروز جمعہ، 5 ستمبر کو شعبہ علومِ اسلامیہ کی جانب سے سی سی پی ہال میں سیرت النبی ﷺ کے موضوع پر ایک سیمینار منعقد کیا گیا۔
اس بابرکت پروگرام کا آغاز تلاوتِ قرآنِ پاک سے ہوا، جس کی سعادت محمد صابر صاحب نے حاصل کی۔ اس کے بعد حضور اکرم ﷺ کی مدح سرائی اور عقیدت کے کلمات ایم فل سکالر عبدالرافع نے پیش کیے۔

پروگرام کے مرکزی مقرر شعبۂ علومِ اسلامیہ کے چیئرمین ڈاکٹر شاہد آمین صاحب تھے۔ انہوں نے نہایت واضح اور سادہ انداز میں سیرتِ طیبہ ﷺ پر روشنی ڈالی۔ اپنے خطاب میں انہوں نے بتایا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی سیرت صرف ایک تاریخی پہلو نہیں رکھتی، بلکہ یہ آج کے دور میں بھی ہماری زندگی کے لیے مکمل رہنمائی فراہم کرتی ہے۔

ڈاکٹر صاحب نے کہا کہ سیرت النبی ﷺ ہمیں یہ سکھاتی ہے کہ سب سے پہلے انسان اپنی ذات کو درست کرے، اپنے کردار کو بہتر بنائے اور پھر اس نیکی کو خاندان، معاشرے اور ملک تک پھیلائے۔ حضور ﷺ کا پیغام انفرادی زندگی سے لے کر اجتماعی اور ملکی سطح تک ہمارے ہر معاملے کے لیے رہنمائی فراہم کرتا ہے۔

Hazara University organized a two-day training session on First Aid and Basic Life Support, organized in collaboration with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society. The training was specifically designed for the university's security personnel, hostel staff, and office boys.

Resource person Syed Shabbir Shah, District First Aid Trainer at PRCS, led the session, which covered practical demonstrations and techniques for handling over 30 different types of emergencies. The aim of the training was to equip university staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations at campus and prevent further harm.

During the closing ceremony, Mr. Muhabbat Khan, Registrar Hazara University, distributed certificates among the participants and organizers. Emphasizing the importance of such trainings, he highlighted the need for their continuation to further enhance the capabilities of staff in ensuring the safety of the campus.

Prof. Dr. Ikram Ullah Khan formally assumed the charge of Vice Chancellor, Hazara University Mansehra, today on September 2nd, 2025

Prof. Dr. Ikram Ullah Khan is widely recognized at the national and international levels as a distinguished botanist and environmental scientist, with extensive expertise in teaching, research, and administration. After completing his PhD at the University of Queensland, Australia, he pursued post-doctoral research in China, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia.

He served for 16 years at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, before joining Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan in 2016, where he worked as Chairman, Department of Botany. He also rendered services as Director of the Botanical Garden at AWKUM for six years.

Upon his arrival at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, Prof. Dr. Ikram Ullah Khan was warmly received by the Pro Vice Chancellor, Deans, Registrar, Treasurer, Controller of Examinations, Provost, Chairpersons, HoDs, faculty, and staff. Bouquet of flowers were presented to him as a gesture of welcome.

Afterwards, the Vice Chancellor visited his office, accompanied by the Pro Vice Chancellor, Deans, and Registrar. Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Shah, Pro Vice Chancellor, introduced all staff members, followed by a discussion on various academic aspects. Meanwhile, Chairpersons, HoDs, and Directors assembled in the conference room for the formal ceremony.

The charge handing-over ceremony commenced with introductory remarks by the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Shah, who extended a warm welcome to the new Vice Chancellor. In his address, Prof. Dr. Ikram Ullah Khan emphasized collective efforts for quality education, innovation, and discovery. He highlighted the significant role of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), and issued directives regarding technological advancements.

On this occasion, a cheque comprising donations from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other donors for the Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund was presented to the Vice Chancellor by the Pro Vice Chancello
