875 عیسوی میں، 65 سال کی عمر میں، عباس ابن فرناس نے اڑنے کی کوشش کی۔ پنکھوں اور لکڑی سے بنے ایک ہینگ گلائیڈر کا استعمال کرتے ہوئے جو اس نے پرواز میں پرندوں کو گھنٹوں مشاہدہ کرنے کے بعد بنایا تھا، اس نے قرطبہ میں روسافہ محل کی چھت سے چھلانگ لگا دی۔ ٹوٹل اکاؤنٹس کے مطابق، وہ کئی منٹ تک اڑتا رہا، ایک ریپٹر کی طرح ہوا کے دھاروں پر گلائڈ کرتا رہا!

"He can play as a middle order batter in ODI due to his strong technique. He plays spin really well. He has talent to play T20 format as an Opener but I believe he should better focus on ODI and Test cricket."
