The Department of Psychology organized the academic event “Memory Transformation: Forgetting to Remembering” coordinated by Ms. Huma Gul under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Umbreen Khizar. The event featured a series of intellectually stimulating and interactive activities, fostering active engagement between faculty members and students through discussions, reflections, and experiential learning related to memory processes.

The event was concluded by Pro-Rector Dr. Heyyat Awan and honored by the presence of Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. A. G. Awan. The event stood as a meaningful platform for collaborative learning, academic enrichment, and scholarly exchange.

A Poetry Recital Competition titled Women in Verse: Voices, Bodies, Freedom was organized by the Literary Society of Department of English in connection with the course Introduction to Women’s Writings. The event aimed to foreground women’s poetic voices while enhancing students’ interpretive, analytical, and oral expression skills.
The session featured recitations in both Urdu and English categories. It was presided by Head Department of English Dr. Saleem Akhtar Khan and Principal Women Block Mrs. Nuzhat Safoor. Dr. Munawar Amin served as the judge for the Urdu category, while Dr. Zia Ahmad judged the English category.
Participants were assessed using a structured evaluation rubric focusing on thematic relevance, interpretation, voice and diction, stage presence, creativity, and time management. The winners were awarded with certificates of appreciation. The event concluded with remarks highlighting the importance of women’s literary contributions and the role of poetry as a medium of resistance and empowerment. The session successfully linked classroom learning with creative performance and was well received by both students and faculty.

The University of Southern Punjab (USP), Multan, and the CPO Office, Multan, have officially joined hands by signing a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work collaboratively for the well-being of society at large. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to community development, social responsibility, and creating a lasting positive impact through mutual cooperation.

The Department of English successfully conducted the Viva Voce Examination of MPhil students on 20 Decembe,r 2025 in a smooth and well-organized manner. The examination was held in accordance with the university’s examination regulations and academic standards.

The Viva Voce was conducted in the presence of the following external examiners:
Dr. Akbar Sajid
Dr. Munazza Rabbani
Dr. Muhammad Rehan

The examination proceedings were supervised under the leadership of the Head of the Department Dr. Saleem Khan who ensured proper coordination, transparency, and adherence to academic protocols throughout the process.
The external examiners evaluated the candidates rigorously, assessing their subject knowledge, research aptitude, analytical skills, and oral presentation. The examination process remained impartial, structured, and academically sound.The conduct of the Viva Voce Examination remained disciplined and satisfactory, reflecting the Department of English’s commitment to maintaining high academic and evaluative standards.
