Today I was thinking about our ways of celebrating independence day since 1948. Now, we spend whole day by watching special transmissions on television, messaging, updating status on Facebook, twitter and sharing pictures on Whats apps about Happy Independence Day. No one feels that our time is precious and we are wasting our gold.
It's the time to change this practice. Let's decide that now on wards on each 14 August or on any national holiday we will work for our beloved country free of cost. We may plant one tree or may help someone. There are a lot of things to do.
As, I have decided to clean my village on each national holiday. I would also request all of you to do that and lets start the biggest cleanliness drive on upcoming holiday of 6th September, 2015.

Plan Pakistan won 2nd place in the recently held Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) photo competition organised by the CLTS Knowledge Hub. This photo was taken from GGPS 157 WB Vehari where Toilet Block and Hand Washing facility has been construed by Plan.
