📜 •• Earth Trembled...And the Angels in Heaven cried as Imam al-Hussain ع embrace Martyrdom ••

🗞️ Imam al-Hussain ع caught the blood of His infant (Ali al-Asgharع), and when His hands were full, He poured it onto the ground. Then He said: “O’ Lord! if You have withheld victory from Us, then make it for what is better, and avenge Us on these oppressors.”

🗞️ Imam al-Baqir ع said: “Allah sent help for Imam al-Hussain ع such that it filled up between the Heavens and Earth. Then He was given to choose either help or meeting Allah. He, however, choose the meeting of Allah.”

🗞️ Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain ع said: “My Father (Imam al-Hussain ع) is a victim Who was killed by every weapon of that time.”

🗞️ Imam al-Baqir ع said: “Imam al-Hussain ع was so injured that one found on Him 326 strokes from arrow, spears and swords. Every stroke was on front side of His body because He never turned His back nor ran away.”

🗞️ Imam al-Sadiq ع said: “The body of Imam al-Hussainع was inflicted with thirty three (33) wounds of the lance and thirty four (34) cuts of the sword.”

🗞️ Imam al-Baqir ع said: “He (Imam al-Hussain ع) was struck with three hundred and twenty six (326) hits from rocks, swords, arrows, and spears.”

🗞️ Imam al-Sadiq ع said: “They found thirty three (33) wounds of spear and thirty four (34) wounds of sword upon Imam al-Hussain ع body.”

🗞️ Some narration’s narrate that Imam al-Hussain ع received 1999 wounds on His Holy body in total.

🗞️ Hameed ibn Muslim said: “I counted 1900 arrows, 12 spears, 5 axes and 3 swords on the Holy body of Imam al-Hussain ع”

🗞️ Imam al-Sadiq ع said: “Before Imam al-Hussain ع was martyred He (Imam al-Hussain ع) had killed one thousand nine hundred and fifty (1950) men of enemy forces, excluding the wounded.”

🗞️ Umar ibn Sa’ad ل called out in a loud voice among his accomplices: ‘Who among you will volunteer to gallop the horses upon the body of al-Hussainع?’ Ten men among them volunteered to do so. Among them was Ishaq ibn Haywah Hazramee, who had looted the shirt of Imam al-Hussain ع, and was later bed-ridden with leprosy, and Ahbash ibn Marsad Hazramee. Akhnas ibn Mursid, Hakeem ibn Tufayl Sumbosi, Umar ibn Sabeeh Saydawi, Raja ibn Manqaz Abadi, Saleem ibn Khaysamah Jufi, Wahez ibn Naeem, Saleh ibn Wahab Jufi, Hani ibn Sabeet Hazramee and Usayd ibn Malik. (May Allah’s curse be upon all of them). They trampled the body of Imam al-Hussain ع with their horse’s hooves until they crushed His chest and back. The narrator says that these ten men came to ibn Ziyad ل, and Usayd ibn Malik among them said: ‘We trampled the chest after the back with the powerful hooves.’ ibn Ziyad ل asked: ‘Who are you?’ They replied: ‘We trampled the back of al-Hussain ع until the bones of His chest turned into a powder.’ ibn Ziyad ل bestowed some gifts upon them.
