Today marks the fifth day of the sit-in organized by the Ipi tribe on the Main Bannu-Miranshah Bypass. Eid Rahman Wazir, the coordinator of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) in North Waziristan, is also present at the protest.

Additionally, other tribes, including Hassokhel, Mosaki, and Haiderkhel, have joined the sit-in. The protest is being held against drones and mortar attacks, as drone bombs are being dropped on houses in Mir Ali daily, resulting in injuries and deaths among the local residents.

Just yesterday, in Ipi village, two young girls on their way to a madrasa were severely injured when a drone bomb was dropped on them. The sit-in will continue until the state meets the protesters' demands.

Today, in the Tirah Valley of Khyber District, eight sub-tribes of the Afridi tribe agreed that they will neither migrate from their area nor form armed groups or peace committees. Maintaining peace, protecting people's lives and property is the responsibility of the state and security institutions. Yesterday in Karak, CTD took five detainees from a torture cell and martyred them in a staged encounter. They buried all five in a single grave in a cemetery in Karak and are not allowing the families to retrieve the bodies of their martyrs.

Meanwhile , the families of the martyrs have started a protest on Karak-Bannu road. The people of Domel and Karak must join the protest in solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
