Consumers in Pakistan will experience a slight relief as the government reduced fuel prices effective August 1, 2026. Petrol price has been cut by Rs. 0.12 to bring it down to Rs. 336.03 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel has decreased by Rs. 0.66, now priced at Rs. 392.38 per litre.

یکم اگست 2026 سے نافذ ہونے والی قیمتوں کے مطابق حکومت نے پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں معمولی کمی کی ہے۔ پیٹرول کی قیمت میں 0.12 روپے کمی کے بعد نئی قیمت 336.03 روپے فی لیٹر ہو گئی ہے، جبکہ ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل 0.66 روپے سستا ہو کر 392.38 روپے فی لیٹر پر آ گیا ہے۔

آزاد کشمیر کی وادی نیلم کے علاقے کتھا پیران نالہ میں بادل پھٹنے (کلاؤڈ برسٹ) کے باعث آنے والے تباہ کن ریلے نے ہر طرف تباہی مچا دی ہے۔ سیلابی پانی گھروں، دکانوں، گاڑیوں، موٹر سائیکلوں، سڑکوں اور ایک پل کو بہا لے گیا۔ درجنوں خاندان متاثر ہوئے ہیں جبکہ زرعی زمینیں، باغات اور مویشی بھی شدید نقصان کی زد میں آئے ہیں۔ نیلم ویلی ہائی وے پر ٹریفک معطل ہے اور ریسکیو آپریشن جاری ہے۔
Devastating Floods
A powerful cloudburst triggered devastating flash floods in Azad Kashmir's Neelum Valley, causing widespread destruction in the Katha Piran stream area. Homes, shops, vehicles, and a bridge were swept away, severely impacting dozens of families and disrupting traffic on the Neelum Valley Highway. Rescue and relief operations are currently underway as authorities assess the damage.
