Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announces Sports Awards.
A proud moment for the Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) and the entire cycling community!
For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Governor’s Office has launched the Governor Sports Awards, honoring individuals whose long-term commitment and strategic partnerships have strengthened the province’s sports ecosystem.
We are pleased to announce that:
Syed Azhar Ali Shah, President of Pakistan Cycling Federation, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of visionary leadership, governance excellence and continuous service to the development of national and regional sports.
Sarmat Shahab, a Level-2 UCI certified coach and one of KP’s key technical experts, has been awarded the Best Coach Award for his outstanding commitment to athlete development and competitive performance.
The awards were presented at a grand ceremony at the Governor House attended by renowned athletes, high-ranking officials, distinguished guests and members of the Sports Writers Association.
This milestone highlights the government’s commitment to high-performance cycling across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and reinforces support for talent development, grassroots development and high-performance outcomes.
The PCF congratulates both awardees and reiterates its commitment to advancing cycling excellence across Pakistan.
