"أَمَا اسْتَحْيَيْتَ مِنِّي؟ تُبَارِزُنِي بِالْعَظَائِمِ، وَتُخْفِي عَنِ الْخَلْقِ سُوءَ فِعْلِكَ، وَتَأْتِي بِهِ إِلَيَّ، أَمَا اسْتَحْيَيْتَ مِنِّي إِذْ كُنْتَ تَعْصِينِي؟"
اردو ترجمہ
"کیا تجھے مجھ سے حیا نہ آئی؟ تو بڑے بڑے گناہ (اعلانِ جنگ کے طور پر) میرے سامنے کرتا رہا، مخلوق سے اپنے برے اعمال چھپاتا رہا اور میرے پاس انہیں لے کر آگیا۔ کیا تجھے مجھ سے حیا نہ آئی جب تو میری نافرمانی کر رہا تھا؟"

سورۃ البقرہ (آیت نمبر 201)
"اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں دنیا میں بھی بھلائی عطا فرما اور آخرت میں بھی بھلائی عطا فرما اور ہمیں آگ (جہنم) کے عذاب سے بچا۔"
نبی کریم ﷺ کی پسندیدہ دعا:
حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم ﷺ اکثر و بیشتر یہی دعا مانگا کرتے تھے۔ (صحیح بخاری: 6389، صحیح مسلم: 2690)

قرآن مجید میں نماز کے اوقات کی طرف اشارہ سورہ بنی اسرائیل کی آیت 78 میں کیا گیا ہے، جس کا ترجمہ اور متن درج ذیل ہے:
آیت مبارکہ:
أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا [1]
اردو ترجمہ:
"نماز قائم کرو سورج ڈھلنے سے لے کر رات کی تاریکی تک، اور فجر کے وقت قرآن پڑھا کرو۔ بے شک فجر کے وقت کا قرآن (پڑھنا اور سننا) حاضر کیا گیا ہے (یعنی فرشتے اس میں حاضر ہوتے ہیں)" [1]*
