Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s
• Gently pat the skin dry — avoid rubbing.
• Choose loose-fitting clothing and diapers.
• Keep a thick barrier layer on irritated skin during every diaper change.
• Seek medical advice if rash is severe, spreading, or not improving in 2–3 days.

Don’ts
• Don’t use wipes or soaps with alcohol, fragrance, or harsh chemicals.
• Don’t overuse baby powder — it can irritate lungs and worsen rash.
• Don’t leave soiled diapers on, even for a short time.
• Don’t scrub or peel off dried barrier cream — apply more and wipe gently.
