Narrated Al-Bara' ibn Azib:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Two Muslims will not meet and shake hands having their sins forgiven them before they separate.

براء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب دو مسلمان آپس میں ملتے اور دونوں ایک دوسرے سے مصافحہ کرتے ہیں تو ان دونوں کے ایک دوسرے سے علیحدہ ہونے سے پہلے ہی ان کی مغفرت ہو جاتی ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، وَابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الأَجْلَحِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ فَيَتَصَافَحَانِ إِلاَّ غُفِرَ لَهُمَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَفْتَرِقَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Narrated Anas:

The fact which stops me from narrating a great number of Hadiths to you is that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire."

ہم سے ابومعمر نے بیان کیا ، ان سے عبدالوارث نے عبدالعزیز کے واسطے سے نقل کیا کہ حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے تھے کہ مجھے بہت سی حدیثیں بیان کرنے سے یہ بات روکتی ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جو شخص مجھ پر جان بوجھ کر جھوٹ باندھے تو وہ اپنا ٹھکانا جہنم میں بنا لے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ إِنَّهُ لَيَمْنَعُنِي أَنْ أُحَدِّثَكُمْ حَدِيثًا كَثِيرًا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ تَعَمَّدَ عَلَىَّ كَذِبًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ‏"‏‏.‏

Abu Umama said he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say:

Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqara and Surah Al 'Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu'awiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians.)

حضرت ابو امامہ باہلی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حدیث بیان کی، انھوں کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کویہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ’’قرآن پڑھا کرو کیونکہ وہ قیامت کے دن اصحابِ قرآن (حفظ وقراءت اور عمل کرنے والوں) کا سفارشی بن کر آئے گا۔ دو روشن چمکتی ہوئی سورتیں: البقرہ اور آل عمران پڑھا کرو کیونکہ وہ قیامت کے دن اس طرح آئیں گی جیسے وہ دو بادل یا دو سائبان ہوں یا جیسے وہ ایک سیدھ میں اڑتے پرندوں کی دو ڈاریں ہوں، وہ اپنی صحبت میں (پڑھنے اور عمل کرنے) والوں کی طرف سے دفاع کریں گی۔ سورہ بقرہ پڑھا کرو کیونکہ اسے حاصل کرنا باعث برکت اور اسے ترک کرنا باعث حسرت ہے اور باطل پرست اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتے۔‘‘ معاویہ نے کہا: مجھے یہ خبر پہنچی ہے کہ باطل پرستوں سے ساحر (جادوگر) مراد ہیں۔

حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، - وَهُوَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ - حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلاَّمٍ - عَنْ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَلاَّمٍ، يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ، الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعًا لأَصْحَابِهِ اقْرَءُوا الزَّهْرَاوَيْنِ الْبَقَرَةَ وَسُورَةَ آلِ عِمْرَانَ فَإِنَّهُمَا تَأْتِيَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَيَايَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا فِرْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافَّ تُحَاجَّانِ عَنْ أَصْحَابِهِمَا اقْرَءُوا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ فَإِنَّ أَخْذَهَا بَرَكَةٌ وَتَرْكَهَا حَسْرَةٌ وَلاَ تَسْتَطِيعُهَا الْبَطَلَةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الْبَطَلَةَ السَّحَرَةُ ‏.‏

Narrated Ibn `Umar:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When anyone of you dies, his destination is displayed before him in the forenoon and in the afternoon, either in the (Hell) Fire or in Paradise, and it is said to him, "That is your place till you are resurrected and sent to it."

ہم سے ابو النعمان نے بیان کیا ، کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا ، ان سے ایوب سختیانی نے ، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیاکہ رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جب تم میں سے کوئی مرتا ہے تو صبح و شام ( جب تک وہ برزخ میں ہے ) اس کے رہنے کی جگہ اسے ہر روز دکھائی جاتی ہے یا دوزخ ہو یا جنت اور کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ تیرے رہنے کی جگہ ہے یہاں تک کہ تو اٹھایا جائے ۔ ( یعنی قیامت کے دن تک ۔ )

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ إِذَا مَاتَ أَحَدُكُمْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ مَقْعَدُهُ غُدْوَةً وَعَشِيًّا، إِمَّا النَّارُ وَإِمَّا الْجَنَّةُ، فَيُقَالُ هَذَا مَقْعَدُكَ حَتَّى تُبْعَثَ ‏إِلَيْهِ"‏‏.‏

Is it permissible for a woman to pray without socks or with a short garment?

Questioner: Our teacher, many women go to the masjid for prayer without socks, they perform their prayer without socks.

Sheikh Al-Albani: Whether they go or not (to the masjid) their prayer in their houses without socks is an invalid prayer.

Questioner: Even in the house?

Shaikh Al-Albani: Even in the house, so how about the masjid?

Questioner: May Allah reward you.

Shaikh Al-Albani: And you also.

Another Questioner: Even if she completely covers her feet?

Shaikh Al-Albani: How do you imagine that she covers her feet? In the present day there are no women who drag their garments (because of it being long), but if you can picture this case then the prayer is correct, and the issue is that her feet are uncovered, however if her feet are covered, for example: her dress is loose and long where it covers her feet, then this is what is wanted from the women when she prays in her home or in the masjid, but sadly today women don’t have long clothing.

Questioner: Ok, do the socks cover, O teacher?

Shaikh Al-Albani: The socks cover and don't cover. They cover the color of the skin, but they don’t cover the shape of the foot, therefore from the conditions of the garment that covers the private parts for men – aside from women – is that it is not transparent where the color of the skin is visible, and it is not tight where it defines the body part. So the garment is not permissible unless it contains these two characteristics, it's not transparent and not tight.

Questioner: Ok, do the socks define the body part?

Shaikh Al-Albani: Absolutely, they define.

Questioner: Ok, how do they cover in prayer?

Shaikh Al-Albani: With time they cover; they cover and don't cover. And I explained to you in detail how they cover and don’t cover.

Questioner: Meaning, the woman must wear socks in prayer?

Shaikh Al-Albani: I said, and I am still saying – she must cover her feet with a loose and wide garment, as for the socks they cover and they don’t cover, my words are clear.

Questioner: Is it better to wear socks?

Shaikh Al-Albani: If her garment is long […] if her garment is long where it covers her feet whether she wears socks or not, what is meant is a covering that is not tight or transparent. Socks without a garment over them define the body part, but they cover the skin color and this is not enough, so it is necessary for the garment to cover the color and the shape.

Questioner: Our teacher, in regards to nullification of the prayer, but they don’t have knowledge of these things.

Shaikh Al-Albani: Yes, they don’t have knowledge but they can learn, so if they learn and remain lenient then their prayer is invalid.

Pls lets ensure this info gets to our Sisters, for several of them are guilty of this. May our efforts towards Allaah not be in vain

Narrated Mujahid:

`Abdullah bin `Umar said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler." The sub-narrator added: Ibn `Umar used to say, "If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death."

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا ، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے محمد بن عبدالرحمٰن ابومنذر طفاوی نے بیان کیا ، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے سلیمان اعمش نے بیان کیا ، انہوں نے کہا مجھ سے مجاہد نے بیان کیا ، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرا شانہ پکڑ کر فرمایا ” دنیا میں اس طرح ہو جا جیسے تو مسافر یا راستہ چلنے والا ہو “ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرمایا کرتے تھے شام ہو جائے تو صبح کے منتظر نہ رہو اورصبح کے وقت شام کے منتظر نہ رہو ۔ اپنی صحت کو مرض سے پہلے غنیمت جانو اور زندگی کوموت سے پہلے ۔

الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَنْكِبِي فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ كُنْ فِي الدُّنْيَا كَأَنَّكَ غَرِيبٌ، أَوْ عَابِرُ سَبِيلٍ ‏"‏‏.‏ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَمْسَيْتَ فَلاَ تَنْتَظِرِ الصَّبَاحَ، وَإِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ فَلاَ تَنْتَظِرِ الْمَسَاءَ، وَخُذْ مِنْ صِحَّتِكَ لِمَرَضِكَ، وَمِنْ حَيَاتِكَ لِمَوْتِكَ‏.‏

Allah did not obligate His servants to memorize all the verses of the Qur'an, but He made it obligatory for everyone to implement it. Implementing the Qur'an is compulsory, and it is the purpose for which the Qur'an was revealed. So whoever implements the Qur'an is amongst its people, and the Qur'an is a proof for him, and whoever does not implement it is not amongst its people, and it is a proof against him.

This is the meaning of his saying (the Messenger)

The Qur'an is either a proof for you or against you.

Narrated `Aisha:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to accept gifts and used to give something in return.

ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا ، کہا ہم سے عیسیٰ بن یونس نے بیان کیا ، کہا ہم سے ہشام نے ، ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہدیہ قبول فرما لیا کرتے ۔ لیکن اس کا بدلہ بھی دے دیا کرتے تھے ۔ اس حدیث کو وکیع اور محاضر نے بھی روایت کیا ، مگر انہوں نے اس کو ہشام سے ، انہوں نے اپنے باپ سے انہوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کے الفاظ نہیں کہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْبَلُ الْهَدِيَّةَ وَيُثِيبُ عَلَيْهَا‏.‏ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ وَكِيعٌ وَمُحَاضِرٌ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ‏.‏
