Dargah Sufi Syed Haji Faqeerullah Shah Alavi was an 17th-century saint and scholar From Afghanistan who settled in Shikarpur, Sindh. He founded a khanqah, mosque, and madrasah, and wrote works on Hadith, Fiqh, Tafsir, and Sufism. His legacy promotes interfaith harmony and tolerance. His tomb, built in 1770 , is a revered site for Muslims. The madrasah He established continues to educate students, emphasizing tolerance and coexistence
The shrine of Mian Faqeerullah was built by Ahmed shah Durrani King of Afghanistan in 1770 when Shah faqeerullah was alive and the same time the mosque and khanka and madrasa built by Ahmed shah durrani ❤️

درگاھ صوفي سيد حاجي فقير الله شاھ علوي 17 صدي جو هڪ بزرگ ۽ عالم هو جيڪو افغانستان مان هو ۽ شڪارپور، سنڌ ۾ آباد ٿيو. هن هڪ خانقاه، مسجد ۽ مدرسو قائم ڪيو، ۽ حديث، فقه، تفسير ۽ تصوف تي ڪتاب لکيا. سندس ورثو بين المذاهب هم آهنگي ۽ رواداري کي فروغ ڏئي ٿو. سندس مقبرو، جيڪو 1770 ۾ ٺهيل هو، مسلمانن لاءِ هڪ احترام لائق مقام آهي. هن جيڪو مدرسو قائم ڪيو اهو شاگردن کي تعليم ڏيڻ جاري رکي ٿو، رواداري ۽ بقاءِ باهمي تي زور ڏئي ٿو

The Tomb of Haji Faqirullah Shah Alavi Al-Hashmi Naqshbandi (Sometimes Spelt Faqeerullah) is a historic and spiritual landmark in Alavi Mohallah, Shikarpur, Sindh, Pakistan. Haji Faqirullah Shah Alavi (1689–1781) was a revered Naqshbandi Sufi saint and scholar who migrated from Afghanistan to Shikarpur in 1737. He significantly contributed to the religious and cultural development of the region by establishing a khanqah (spiritual retreat), a mosque, and a madrasah in the area that now bears his name. His efforts left a lasting legacy, making the tomb a site of great spiritual significance.

The tomb, constructed in the late 18th century, is an architectural marvel. Its design features intricate ceramic tiles, exquisite mural paintings, and finely detailed woodwork. The octagonal interior is adorned with beautiful paintings, reflecting the artistic heritage of that era. An inscription on the western wall of the tomb records its renovation in 1919 by Haji Faqirullah’s great-grandson, Mir Ali Nawaz Alavi, ensuring the preservation of this cultural treasure.

Surrounding the tomb are the graves of Haji Faqirullah Shah Alavi’s descendants and other notable scholars of the Alavi family, who were instrumental in spreading Naqshbandi teachings across Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, and Afghanistan. Today, the tomb remains a place of veneration for devotees and a testament to Shikarpur's rich spiritual and cultural history. It continues to draw visitors who seek to connect with the profound legacy of this Naqshbandi saint.

Haji Faqeerullah Shah Alavi, an eminent 17th-century saint, is commemorated through the Alavi muhallah in Shikarpur. Born in 1689 in Rohtas, Jalalabad, Afghanistan, he embarked on a profound spiritual journey under esteemed scholars. After extensive education in Peshawar and Lahore, he settled in Shikarpur in 1737, founding his khanqah, mosque, and madrasah.

A scholar and poetic mystic, Haji Faqeerullah Shah Alavi penned works in Persian, Arabic, and even Pashto, focusing on Hadith, Fiqh, Tafsir, and Sufism. His close affiliations extended to rulers of Sindh, Balochistan, and Afghanistan, some becoming fervent followers.

The torch of his legacy was carried forward by dedicated disciples like Hamid al Haq Alavi and Mir Sirajuddin Alavi. Their efforts propagated his teachings across geographical boundaries, fostering interfaith harmony.
The grandeur of Haji Faqirullah Shah Alavi's impact finds a physical manifestation in the splendid tomb erected in 1780, boasting intricate woodwork and mural paintings. Today, this revered site stands as a welcoming abode for both Muslim and Hindu visitors, embodying unity.

At the heart of this legacy lies the madrasah 'Darul Uloom Al Haj Haji Faqirullah Shah Alavi,' where students from upper Sindh receive education. What sets this institution apart is its emphasis on tolerance, as demonstrated by students' dignified passage past temples and darbars. This ethos reflects teachings by mentors and the progressive ideology of the Alavi lineage.

The great spretual Saint ,aminent around their vicinity, his written tasnefat in Persian and in Arabic language,known as great Islamic books ,keeps in all religious Library's, specially in Iran ,Spain ,UAE and in Iraq .Alavi family descendent of Hazrat Ali Allehis salam ,whole rote cast Arthodoxe of Islam , this great personality Spain whole life in prayers .and to survey humanity.
