With profound sadness, we acknowledge Elite Exped's confirmation that Nirmal "Nims Dai" Purja has tragically passed away following the Broad Peak avalanche.

The entire Karakoram team extends our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to his family, his teammates, his friends, the people of Nepal, and the countless admirers around the world whose lives he inspired.

On behalf of our team and our followers, we stand in solidarity with all those mourning this immense loss. Nims Dai's courage, determination, and passion for the mountains will continue to inspire generations of climbers and adventurers.

Rest in peace, Nims Dai (1983–2026). Your legacy will live forever among the world's highest peaks.

The rescue team has successfully recovered the body of French mountaineer Guillaume Pierrel from the extremely dangerous terrain of K6.

We pay tribute to all the rescue personnel who took part in this challenging mission, risking their own lives to bring him home. Their courage, dedication, and professionalism deserve the highest respect and appreciation.
