یاد کر کے بتول کی چادر خون روتا ہے شام کا قیدی

بے کفن جس نے تجھ کو چھوڑا تھا وہ بہن آج رونے آئی ہے
بے ردا تھی اسیر تھی زینب ، آج آزاد ہو کے آئی ہے
سُن کے زینب کا نوحہ تربت پر خون روتا ہے شام کا قیدی

جسکو بابا کے پاس جانا ہے قید سے وہ رہا نہ ہو پائی
جن کو مرنا تھا ہو گئے آزاد ، جسکو جینا تھا جی نہیں پائی
قید ہے آج بھی تیری دختر خون روتا ہے شام کا قیدی

بہنیں عباس کی ہیں یہ کہہ کر شامیوں نے پھرایا ہے در در
تازیانے کہیں پہ برسائے چھت سے برسائے ہیں کہیں پتھر
ہائے عباس کی صدا دے کر خون روتا ہے شام کا قیدی

کتنا مجبور تھا ترا سجاد تو نے دیکھا تو ہوگا اے بابا
قیدی تھک ہار کے جو رکتے تھے پشت پر مارتے تھے وہ نیزہ
سر تھا بابا تمہارا نیزے پر خون روتا ہے شام کا قیدی
