Tragic day for the people of Maiduguri a bomb blast on Damboa Road has resulted in many lives lost and injuries sustained. Our prayers are with the victims and their families.

In recent days, Governor Zulum expressed concerns that Borno may be returning to the grips of bandits, a statement the federal government has refuted, urging Nigerians to ignore him. The Minister of Information, who hails from Borno, is aware of the situation.

Just three weeks ago, students were chased away from the University of Maiduguri due to gunfire.

I urge the Tinubu administration to stop politicizing security issues. People are suffering and dying across Nigeria. The mandate we gave the president must focus on alleviating insecurity, poverty, hunger, and other pressing challenges.

Let us unite as Nigerians to hold our government accountable for our development and a better future.
