The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great enthusiasm at UAF Constituent College Toba Tek Singh.
The ceremony was graced by Principal Prof. Dr. Rashid Waseem Khan as the Chief Guest. In his address, he stated that Pakistan was founded on the ideology of "La ilaha illallah". Freedom is a great blessing from Allah and the result of unmatched sacrifices by our forefathers. Protecting this blessing and leading the country towards progress and prosperity is our national duty.
He urged students to value time and adopt punctuality, discipline, hard work, honesty, and responsibility. Celebrating Independence Day is not enough — fulfilling our duties with sincerity is the true form of patriotism. He emphasized that the youth should use their talents for national development through education, research, and character building, as educated and responsible youth are the guarantee of Pakistan’s bright future.
*Highlights of the Event:*
1. *Quran Khwani & Prayer*: A recitation and special prayer for Pakistan’s progress and martyrs was held at the Jamia Masjid.
2. *Flag Hoisting*: The flag-hoisting ceremony took place at the Admin Block with a smartly turned-out security guard, siren, and national anthem.
3. *Student Performances*: Children from the Junior Laboratory School presented tableaus, milli naghmas, and speeches.
4. *Campus Decoration*: The entire campus was beautifully decorated with Pakistani flags.
The event was organized with the active participation of the DSA Office, Senior Tutor Office, Estate & Security Department, faculty, staff, and Laboratory School staff. A large number of students attended.
