What a day of innovation, learning, and talent!
The Computer Science Department of UAF CCTTS proudly organized a “One Day Workshop on Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Project Exhibition” for our BSCS 8th Semester students. Prof. Dr. Rashad Waseem Khan (Principal) inaugurated this workshop. The goal: bridge the gap between academia and the modern IT industry by equipping students with market-trending knowledge, practical skills, and innovative approaches.
We were honored to host renowned industry experts Mr. Hannan Samar and Mr. Fahad Shabbir as our guest speakers. They delivered powerful sessions on emerging technologies, current industry requirements, career development strategies, and the critical role of project-based learning in professional growth.
The spotlight was on our brilliant students! During the Project Exhibition, they showcased their innovative projects with remarkable creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills. From AI solutions to web apps and hardware prototypes, the talent on display was truly inspiring. The projects earned high appreciation from faculty members, guest speakers, and the worthy Principal of the campus.
To honor excellence, appreciation certificates and shields of honor were presented to our esteemed guest speakers. Position-holder students were also awarded certificates and awards for their outstanding performances in the Project Exhibition.
The Principal, Prof. Dr. Rashad Waseem Khan UAF CC T T Singh , applauded the efforts and emphasized that such workshops and innovative activities are vital for students’ career development, fostering entrepreneurship, and contributing to the economic growth and prosperity of Pakistan.
A huge thank you to our speakers, organizers, faculty, and especially our students for making this event a massive success! The future of tech is in safe hands.

A field day training on “Veterinary Perspectives on the Selection of Animals for Sacrificial Purposes” was organized by the University of Agriculture Faisalabad Constituent College Toba Tek Singh in collaboration with the District Livestock Department Toba Tek Singh at 323 JB Trandi, Toba Tek Singh. The objective of the event was to raise awareness among livestock farmers, students, para-veterinary staff, and the general public regarding the proper selection and management of sacrificial animals according to veterinary and animal health principles.
Dr. Muhammad Auon, Focal Person of the training program, highlighted the importance of selecting healthy and disease-free animals for sacrificial purposes. He emphasized that awareness regarding animal health, age, physical fitness, and disease prevention is essential to ensure both religious compliance and public health safety during Eid-ul-Azha.
Dr. Habib Sultan, Director Livestock, addressed the participants and appreciated the collaborative efforts of educational and livestock institutions in promoting community awareness. He stated that such training programs help livestock farmers and citizens make informed decisions while purchasing sacrificial animals.
Dr. Riaz Mustafa delivered an informative lecture on common diseases in animals and explained how to identify signs of illness to ensure the selection of healthy sacrificial animals. Dr. M. Farooq Khalid discussed the importance of balanced nutrition, proper feeding practices, and effective animal care for maintaining the health and quality of livestock.
A large number of participants, including students, para-veterinary medical staff, livestock farmers, and local citizens, attended the field day training and showed keen interest in the practical guidance and interactive discussions conducted by the experts.
At the conclusion of the event, the organizers reaffirmed their commitment to continuing community outreach and awareness programs for the promotion of animal health, livestock development, and public welfare in the region.

Blood Donation Camp Held at UAF Constituent College Toba Tek Singh
University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Constituent College Toba Tek Singh, in collaboration with Ali Zeb Foundation Toba Tek Singh, organized a blood donation camp for patients suffering from thalassemia. The event was organized under the supervision of Principal Prof. Dr. Rashad Waseem Khan.
On the occasion, Dr. Atif, a representative of Ali Zeb Foundation, delivered an awareness session highlighting the importance of blood donation and encouraging students and staff members to actively participate in humanitarian activities. He emphasized that regular blood donation can save precious lives, especially those of patients who require frequent blood transfusions.
Dr. Muhammad Auon served as the focal person and coordinator of the event. He appreciated the cooperation of the administration, faculty members, and students in making the camp successful.
A large number of faculty and staff members enthusiastically participated in the camp and donated blood to support patients in need.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rashad Waseem Khan appreciated the efforts of Ali Zeb Foundation and stated that such welfare activities promote social responsibility, compassion, and humanity among students and society.
The event concluded with a pledge to continue organizing awareness and welfare activities in the future for the betterment of the community.

International Webinar Held at UAF Constituent College Toba Tek Singh on “3 Ps of S*x: Pheromones, Photons and Phood”
An international webinar titled “3 Ps of S*x: Pheromones, Photons and Phood” was organized this evening at University of Agriculture Faisalabad Constituent College Toba Tek Singh. The webinar brought together faculty members, researchers and students to discuss emerging scientific insights into animal reproductive behavior and management.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Graeme Martin, Emeritus Professor at The University of Western Australia. In his address, Dr. Martin highlighted the important role of pheromones, light signals and nutrition in regulating reproductive physiology and animal breeding efficiency. He emphasized that modern scientific understanding of these factors can significantly contribute to sustainable livestock production and reproductive management.
The webinar was organized by Dr. Umar Farooq, Associate Professor, who welcomed the guest speaker and participants. He stated that such international academic engagements provide valuable learning opportunities for students and strengthen research collaboration with renowned scholars across the world.
Faculty members and students from various departments actively participated in the session and appreciated the informative discussion and interactive question-answer segment. Participants termed the webinar highly beneficial for enhancing their understanding of reproductive science and contemporary livestock research.
At the conclusion of the event, the organizers thanked the guest speaker and participants for their valuable contributions and expressed the hope that similar academic activities would continue in the future.

Educational/field visit for final-year BSc (Hons.) Human Nutrition and Dietetics students (8th semester), to Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Constituent College Toba Tek was conducted on May 20, 2026 by Dr. Farwa Tariq, Dr. Roma Saleem, Ms. Sarma Shahid (Lecturers Human Nutrition and Dietetics) under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Rashad Waseem Qadri (Principal, UAF, CC, TT Singh). Faculty members and students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Obaid Ullah Khan (Scientific Officer) and Dr. Fraz Ahmad Khan (Scientific Officer), Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad. They briefed about the institutions and research activities conducted in research institutes. Students visited Exhibition Centre, Post Harvest Research Centre, and Wheat Research Institute.
This visit provided valuable insight to students in ongoing research activities at the institution.

UAF Constituent College Toba Tek Singh's Computer Science department hosted a power-packed seminar on "Building a Robust Network Defense Strategy with CISCO Firepower" on May 14, 2026!
The event started with verses from the Holy Quran, setting a thoughtful tone for the day. Mr. Syed Muhammad Ali Imran, Lecturer in computer science at UAF Consituent College TTS and convener of this seminar, initiated the event by introducing the industry expert Mr. Noman Khan, who is an expert in cybersecurity and network offensive security and has been serving the industry for many years. Expert Mr. Nouman Khan then led an insightful session on CISCO Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), sharing industry best practices for firewall management, threat detection, and implementing next-gen security measures.
Participants gained hands-on experience and valuable insights, making it a fantastic learning opportunity! A big thank you to our participants, speakers, and organizers for making this event a success!

Report on Day 1 of Two-Day Statistical Data Analysis Workshop

A two-day workshop on Statistical Data Analysis using SPSS, Minitab, and R Software was successfully commenced for postgraduate students with the aim of enhancing their practical and analytical skills in modern statistical software applications. The workshop was organized by Dr. Hafiz Bilal Murtaza Lecturer Statistics and Wasif Shafique Lecturer Statistics.

The inaugural session was chaired by the Principal Dr. Rashid Waseem Qadri, who appreciated the initiative taken by the organizing faculty members for arranging such an informative and skill-oriented activity for students. He highlighted the importance of statistical software in modern research and emphasized that practical knowledge of SPSS, Minitab, and R is essential for postgraduate scholars and researchers.

During the first day, participants were introduced to various statistical techniques and their implementation through hands-on training sessions. Students actively participated in practical exercises related to data handling, data visualization, descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and interpretation of outputs using SPSS, Minitab, and R software. The interactive training sessions enabled students to gain real-time experience in applying statistical methods to research data.

The workshop also provided an excellent learning environment where students engaged directly with software tools under the supervision of the resource persons. The organizers ensured that every participant received practical exposure and guidance throughout the sessions.

At the conclusion of the day’s activities, Dr. Rashid Waseem Qadri distributed certificates among the successful participants and commended the efforts of Wasif Shafiq and Dr. Hafiz Bilal Murtaza for organizing such a valuable academic event for postgraduate students.

Lunch was served to all participants and faculty members after the workshop, providing an opportunity for academic interaction and networking in a pleasant environment.

The first day of the workshop concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and positive feedback from attendees, reflecting the significance of such practical training programs in strengthening research and data analysis competencies among postgraduate scholars.
