📢 Appeal to Sindh Government: Save Sindh from Floods through Strong Coordination & Water Management 🌊
Respected Authorities,
Every year, the people of Sindh face devastation due to floods caused by uncontrolled water releases from upstream. This situation can be avoided if proper coordination and timely management are ensured between Punjab and Sindh.
✅ Step-by-step water release should be managed so that Sindh’s barrages (Guddu, Sukkur, Kotri) are not overloaded.
✅ Strengthen and maintain embankments to prevent breaches that destroy villages, crops, and homes.
✅ Clear natural waterways and canals so that floodwater can pass smoothly towards the Arabian Sea.
✅ Use escape channels and storage lakes (like Manchhar Lake, RBOD, LBOD) to store excess water safely.
✅ Real-time monitoring & early warning systems should be activated to alert local communities in advance.
🌍 If the Sindh Government takes strong preventive measures and coordinates closely with Punjab, then the water can safely pass to the Arabian Sea without turning into a disaster.
👉 We request urgent action to protect Sindh’s people, land, and future from avoidable flood destruction.
