Awami Falah O Bahbood Tanzeem (AFBT), in collaboration with IRC, MERF, SPO, and the EU, hosted a successful session on August 6th at Village Muhammad Hashim Chahwan, UC Jam Noorullah. Our community mobilizers empowered mothers with knowledge about the vital importance of breastfeeding.

Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week 2025 at Muhammad Haroon Solangi – A Moment of Empowerment and Care!

On August 5th, 2025, Awami Falah O Bahbood Tanzeem (AFBT), in collaboration with IRC MERP SPO and with the support of the European Union, brought together mothers and families in Muhammad Haroon Solangi (Deh Jeay Potta, UC Jam Noorullah) for a vibrant celebration of World Breastfeeding Week — a joyful day filled with awareness, unity, and the power of nurturing healthy beginnings.

✨ During this inspiring session, both male and female community mobilizers united to share with mothers the global importance and celebration of World Breastfeeding Week. The spirit of the week is about empowering families, raising awareness, and building a healthier future.

💙 Why is mother’s milk so vital for our children?
• The Perfect Start: Mother’s milk provides every nutrient a baby needs for healthy growth and development.
• Strong Immunity: It naturally protects babies from illness by boosting their immune systems, keeping them safe from many common diseases.
• Bonding & Comfort: Breastfeeding forms a precious bond between mother and child, offering warmth, love, and security.
• Lifelong Benefits: Studies show that breastfed children enjoy better health, stronger intelligence, and emotional well-being even as they grow.

👩👧👦 We salute all the mothers who give their children the best start in life! Let’s continue to stand together, encouraging and supporting breastfeeding for a healthier, happier future for all children.

📌 Session Report: World Breastfeeding Week 2025

🎉 A meaningful session on World Breastfeeding Week was successfully conducted by Awami Falah O Bahbood Tanzeem (AFBT) at:

🏫 The Smart Learning Elementary School,
📍 Village Dilber Budh, UC Jam Noorullah,
Tehsil Kandiaro, District Naushahro Feroze.

🗓️ Date: August 2, 2025
🎯 Audience: 8th-grade students and their teachers

💡 Session Highlights:
🌿 Began with the name of Allah and recitation of verses from the Holy Quran emphasizing the importance of breastfeeding (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:233).

🧕🏼 Interactive awareness session on:
o What is breastfeeding?
o Health & religious importance
o Global theme: “Let’s Make Breastfeeding & Work, Work!”

🧠 Quiz segment to assess understanding.

🎨 Group activity: I created a tree on a sheet, pasted it on the wall, and distributed sticky notes among the teachers and students. I asked them to write one benefit of breastfeeding on the sticky notes.

📚 The session was conducted in pure Sindhi, ensuring inclusivity and understanding for all participants.

💬 Feedback:
Teachers and students both actively participated and appreciated the content and approach. The use of Islamic references, interactive learning, and local language helped make the session engaging and impactful.

Recognition and Appreciation: A Need or a Luxury?

As human beings, we crave recognition. Without it, we feel overlooked, unfulfilled, even sad. In extreme cases, this emptiness can lead to depression. Relationships suffer when appreciation becomes an expectation rather than a gift.

But Islam offers a liberating perspective.

I believe Islam ends this vicious cycle. We should seek recognition from Allah (SWT) alone, as He (SWT) is the only being in this universe who can truly know us. Nothing is hidden from Him (SWT). It is so beautiful and freeing to realize that He (SWT) finally knows and acknowledges our actions. When we do something great in the vast wilderness where no humans are around, it is Allah (SWT) who is watching and recording everything.

And then, who can appreciate us better than Him (SWT)? Yes, we cannot see him (SWT), but His (SWT) acts, rewards, interventions, and retributions are all around us to be seen, heard, and felt.
