QEC UET Mardan Successfully Conducts Week-Long Quality Assurance Review Activities (Self-RIPE & PREEE)
The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), UET Mardan conducted a comprehensive week-long series of quality assurance reviews under the Self-Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (S-RIPE) and Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREEE) from 16th to 19th June 2025.
The S-RIPE exercise was led by Dr. Naveed Ahmad Jan, Director QEC, University of Technology Nowshera, as the external expert, along with four internal members from academia and administration. The committee evaluated the university’s institutional performance against the PSG-2023 guidelines issued by HEC. While, the PREEE assessment teams reviewed all postgraduate programs and the BS English program, following HEC's PREEE standards. The teams included distinguished external experts Dr. Haider Ali, HoD, Electronics Engineering Technology, UoT Nowshera and Dr. Zunnoorain Khan, Director QEC, City University Peshawar along with subject-specific internal reviewers from each respective department. These rigorous reviews were successfully facilitated by the QEC team, Program Team Members (PTMs), and the IPR Preparation Committee, ensuring a smooth and collaborative process throughout.
The review sessions were graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan, Prof. Dr. Sadaqat Jan, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ibrar. The reviewers appreciated the university’s efforts and provided constructive feedback. The Vice Chancellor extended his sincere gratitude to all guests and participants, highlighting the critical role of quality assurance in higher education. In his remarks, the Honorable Vice Chancellor endorsed the view that the university’s progress and achievements can only be recognized through such systematic internal and external reviews. He reaffirmed his full support for all initiatives aimed at enhancing academic quality and achieving higher institutional rankings, beginning with the digitalization of academic and administrative data as a strategic priority. He further emphasized that a robust quality assurance system is not just a compliance requirement, but a catalyst for academic excellence, innovation, and institutional growth. He encouraged all departments to actively engage in evidence-based planning, continuous self-assessment, and collaborative improvement. The Vice Chancellor concluded by stating that UET Mardan is committed to becoming a leading institution in Pakistan by fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and academic integrity at all levels.
