Superfly Studio proudly presents its milestone 50th release – the single Fool For Love. The track is produced and composed by Marek Bogdański, better known as Dreadsquad, with vocals and lyrics by Dub Princess – a charismatic singer born in Northern England, known for her mesmerizing voice.

Fool For Love is the vocal version of Ethiopian Rhythm, originally featured on Dreadsquad’s album Reggae From The Desert, released in December 2024. The recording features a stellar lineup of musicians: Piotr Zabrodzki on piano and Hammond organ, Kubix on guitar, Alex Hazas on horns, Adam “Bzyq” Brzęczek on drums, and Marek Bogdański himself handling bass, arrangement, mixing, dubbing, and mastering.

This is the third collaborative single from Dreadsquad and Dub Princess, following their earlier tracks Too Much Juggling and No Walls. The song also serves as a preview of their upcoming joint album, scheduled for release next year.

The single has just been sent to the pressing plant and will be released as a limited edition 7-inch lilac vinyl – a must-have for collectors and lovers of analog sound.

Sennheiser MD419 microphone repair operation. I love these cheap and great sounding microphones with supercardioid characteristics. End of the 80's. I have 3 of these in my collection. They need some love and they will sound great again

A set of DIY damping pads for drum kit and timbales, so that drum skins do not resonate when recording other instruments and when mixing tracks. Made of rubber mat for muting floors. Total cost about 18 eur for a set of 13 pieces. I will make additional dampers from the leftovers. I do not know how long they would last as practice pads, but it is cheap enough to take a chance ;)

The synthesizer & FX corner at Superfly Studio.
This cheerful three-tiered stand, tailored to fit, was created from spruce waste from the construction of the stairs and from a beech shelf from a previous studio, which waited 8 years for its second life. Sometimes my character trait “I won't throw away because it will come in handy” makes sense ;) Colored with linseed oil dyed with pigments. Finally everything gets a look and ergonomics, and the studio sounds twice as good thanks to the acoustic adaptation of the ceiling!
