"A Pioneer of Low-Intervention Winemaking in Poland
To say that Dom Bliskowice paved the way for low-intervention winemaking in Poland would be an understatement. Today, it is undoubtedly the most recognizable Polish winery in the world.
The chosen plot lies at an elevation of 150-190 meters above sea level and occupies a slope near the Vistula River, with excellent conditions for vine planting. Both in terms of exposure and soil: chalky-limestone with natural drainage, and in the lower parts, marl and loess. The key message for the producer became working as closely as possible with nature and minimizing intervention – both in the vineyard and in the winery.
Europe, North America, Asia. Michelin-starred restaurants, iconic wine bars, and major natural wine festivals. Dom Bliskowice is currently the most important ambassador of Polish winemaking. It is also often the first Polish producer that wine lovers abroad encounter.
When I first tasted wines from Dom Bliskowice in 2014, I immediately noticed the labels. They set completely new graphic standards for the then-impoverished Polish wine scene.
Thanks to participation in the most important natural wine festivals in Europe (including La Dive Bouteille, RAW, and Karakterre, as well as the Krakow Confetti Wine Fest), today most of the production is exported. This is the only such case in Polish winemaking. In Poland, Dom Bliskowice wines are sold to the best restaurants, wine bars, and specialty stores that cooperate with the producer." for
