„Arystokraci w rządach XIX-wiecznej Wielkiej Brytanii”
➡ Każdy kraj szczyci się swoją arystokracją; elitą władzy, prestiżu czy więzów krwi, stawiającą ją ponad innymi. Dla jednych historyków jej istnienie to przeżytek minionych czasów, wynik feudalnych czy rycerskich tradycji, które wyniosły pojedyncze rody do zaszczytów i funkcji politycznych, dla innych – niepotrzebna zaszłość. Obecne rodziny panujące Holandii, Belgii, Hiszpanii czy Monaco wciąż cieszą się namiastkami dawnej władzy, choć jej zakres i pozycja ich dworów nie oddają dawnego splendoru.
➡ Zdefiniowanie pojęcia „elity władzy” prowadzi do konieczności zrozumienia zasad kultury politycznej, tj. idei i przekonań, dominujących w danej grupie społecznej, w danym miejscu i czasie, które przyzwoliły na zaistniałą sytuację.

“Aristocrats in the Governments of 19th Century Great Britain”
➡ Every country prides itself on its aristocracy; an elite class of power, prestige, and blood ties that places it above others. For some historians, its existence is a relic of a bygone era, the result of feudal or chivalric traditions that elevated individual families to honors and political office; for others, it is an unnecessary remnant of the past. The current ruling families of the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and Monaco still enjoy remnants of their former power, although the scope and position of their courts do not reflect their former splendor.
➡ Defining the concept of the “power elite” requires an understanding of the principles of political culture, i.e., the ideas and beliefs that dominate a given social group, in a given place and time, which have allowed the current situation to arise.
