Autumn doesn’t come in just one color palette. 🍂

Lately, my autumn projects have been full of burgundy, brown, pink and deep earthy shades. Today, however, autumn looks completely different on my craft table.

Two cards, of course, because Karola’s cards prefer to travel in pairs. 😄

I used MINTAY BASIC – PENCIL CARD BASE, but completely ignored the “pencil” part and turned them into little autumn garden sheds instead.
Covered them with AUTUMN SPLENDOR papers and die-cuts. I love this collection for its warm and cozy autumn palette: pumpkin orange and muted yellow mixed with warm blue and almost soft turquoise. It feels autumnal, but fresh at the same time.

And that’s one of the things I love about papercraft: a pencil doesn’t have to stay a pencil. 😂

What about you? Do you prefer classic autumn colors or something a little less expected?

Still in my autumn era… and I have a feeling it’s going to last for quite a while. 🍂

Today I dug out an old project, and by old I mean quite a few years old! A layout with a photo of my daughter, made with a collection that some long-time Mintay fans might recognize immediately.
Any guesses?

It’s FALL FESTIVAL, one I honestly loved both designing and creating with. ❤️

Those deep burgundy and warm brown shades actually came back into my creative world last year with RUST & ROSE. So if you happen to have both collections hiding somewhere in your stash, don’t hesitate to mix them. They work beautifully together!

Some time ago I finally put this layout into a frame. I bought only four of these frames around 12 years ago in some random store, and now I seriously regret not buying twenty. 😂 Finding nice frames that actually fit 12x12 layouts seems surprisingly difficult these days.

So I have two questions for you today: does anyone know a good source for 12x12 frames? And, even more importantly… who still has FALL FESTIVAL in their stash? 😄🍂

Pumpkin season called…🍂

It was supposed to be another Woodies makeover, but somehow I ended up with an HDF Base makeover instead!

We’ve had these HDF bases in the Mintay Papers range for quite a while now, and somehow I’m only just getting around to decorating them myself. And since I’m already completely in my autumn mood, the first one simply had to be a pumpkin.

I really wanted to make some pumpkin home decor, and this shape is perfect because you can easily cover it with paper, which is exactly what I did. I combined RUST & ROSE collection with elements cut from our Late Summer printable sheet from the Mintay DIGI SHOP.

That warm honey yellow turned out to be such a beautiful match for the pink and deep burgundy tones. I also added some dried plants and little natural twigs to make the whole composition feel lighter and more organic. I can rarely resist sneaking a little piece of nature into some of my projects. 🤎

Now I’m looking at the other HDF shapes and thinking this might become another little obsession…

What if I told you this layout was made with a Christmas collection… but there’s absolutely nothing Christmas about it? 🌲

It’s Monday, so it’s time for our 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼 at Mintay Papers! This week’s challenge was a fun one: create a non-Christmas project with our latest Christmas collection, SEASON OF JOY.

And somehow, I had a photo that felt like it had been waiting for exactly this project.

This layout is about a different kind of magic. The magic hidden along forest paths, sunlight finding its way through the trees, fresh air, silence and those tiny moments that suddenly make you ridiculously happy. Maybe it comes with age? The older I get, the more I notice these little things. When we’re younger, life seems to constantly push us forward. Faster, more, next, next, next...

Haha, listen to me, I sound like I’m about to retire and move into a cottage in the woods. Nope. Not happening. Not yet! 😂

But I do recommend stopping sometimes. In a forest, by a river, in a field, on a hill... wherever you can find a piece of nature. Just breathe for a moment and enjoy the simple fact that you are here. That means so much.

And when you get back to your craft table, break a few rules! SEASON OF JOY doesn’t have to wait for Christmas. Here I mixed it with WILDWOOD SECRETS and some elements cut from MINTAY BASIC - CUTE MYSTERY, and I absolutely love how naturally they all came together.

Autumn baking season is officially open… but my cupcakes are made of paper. 😄🍂

As I mentioned recently, my favorite season has officially begun! I love autumn, and I probably love creating autumn projects even more. All those warm, rusty, earthy colors just make me want to sit at my craft table all day. Too bad I can’t actually do that. 🤓

So yesterday I baked two cupcakes. Paper ones, obviously.
The base of my recipe is Mintay Basic – Cupcake Card Base in kraft. And what did I mix into the batter?

A generous portion of RUST & ROSE papers and die-cuts (and stickers too!), some die-cut flowers from LIGHTHOUSE, a pinch of HER STORY with those decorative frames in the background, and finally some freshly cut elements from our newest Mintay Papers Digi – Rainy Days sheets.

Quite a recipe, right? 😄
And can we talk about this color combination for a moment? Pink, deep burgundy and dark blue aren’t the most obvious autumn trio, but I absolutely love them together. The pink adds softness, the burgundy brings that rich autumn warmth, and the dark blue gives everything a little depth and contrast. Definitely a combo I want to use again!

If you like them, go ahead and bake yourself a couple of autumn cupcakes too! 🧁🍂 I hope mine are delicious enough. 😂

Dear craft diary… another thing I’ve barely tried before: pop-up cards. 😄

I know, I know. You all seem to know how to do EVERYTHING, and I’m often sitting quietly in my corner, afraid to try. 😂

It’s been like that with so many things over the years: covering album covers with fabric, using black, being braver with colors and mixing collections, exploding boxes… quite a list!

But after my exceptionally long break from regular crafting, I made a little promise to myself: nothing is going to limit me anymore. Well… except time. Time definitely can. 😂

So here is my first proper adventure with a pop-up card, created with Mintay Papers LADY’S SECRET collection, elements from MINTAY BASIC - CELEBRATION fussy cutting sheet and our MINTAY BASIC – POP-UP CARD INSERT, which definitely made the whole thing easier.

And… this is FUN! I really like this layered, dimensional way of building a composition.

Now I absolutely need to try one of those pop-ups where you open the card and suddenly a butterfly, a little house or some other paper wonder appears. One day!

So tell me, what’s still hiding in YOUR crafty corner? What haven’t you tried yet, but really want to? I refuse to believe you’ve already tried everything in papercraft! 😄

I can already smell autumn in the air… and I’m SO ready for it. 🍂

Here in Poland, autumn is definitely coming. The nights are much cooler, there’s that unmistakable dampness in the air, and our yard is already collecting more and more dry leaves.

And I LOVE it!!!

I’m a total autumn girl. Give me golden light, rusty reds, warm browns, fallen leaves and that cozy feeling of the world slowly changing around us. I honestly can’t wait for the full golden-red autumn show to begin.

So today I’m bringing back an older layout, but one that feels absolutely perfect for this moment. Early autumn, rustic, warm and a little wild.

I created this layout with a photo of me while early autumn walks and used Mintay Papers RUSTIC CHARMS collection, Mintay Chippies baloons, adding lots of real dried twigs, burlap flowers and tiny natural details. I know, there’s a LOT going on. You could probably call it a huge mess. 😄 But somehow I love that about it. All those layers and textures seem to wrap around the photo like a warm blanket on a chilly autumn evening.

And can we talk about Rustic Charms for a second? I still think it’s one of those incredibly versatile collections that you can mix with almost anything. Different seasons, different styles, old and new products... it just works.

Are you an autumn person too, or are you still desperately holding onto summer?

One thing I can already promise: there will be PLENTY of autumn projects around here in the coming weeks. I’ve been waiting for this season!

Who knew I’d actually start enjoying exploding boxes? 😄

For so many years I somehow managed to avoid them… and now here I am, showing you another one. Life is funny like that.

This box originally appeared as one of the projects in my simple tutorials for Mintay Papers Creative Kit 16 – A Touch of Grace. Later I came back to it, added a little more decoration, a few more details and made it feel more like me.

It’s created on our Mintay Basic – Exploding Box Base with the Lady’s Secret collection. Feminine and elegant, but with a little edge. 😄

I have to admit, these boxes are actually really fun to make and the finished piece becomes something between a card, a keepsake and a little surprise gift.

And to think I resisted making them for so many years… There might actually be more exploding boxes in my future.

But since cards have completely taken over my craft table again lately, I think it’s time to make something different.

And I already have another Woodies makeover slowly coming to life…

What if an autumn wedding card looked like autumn itself? 🤎

Warm, a little imperfect, layered, textured and definitely not too polished.
I don’t think every wedding card needs to be perfectly straight, clean and traditionally elegant. This one is splattered, slightly messy and rustic, with lots of warm, earthy tones. And somehow it still feels romantic to me.

For this card I combined two Mintay Papers collections: CHOCOLATE KISS and RUST & ROSE. Maybe not the first pairing that comes to mind, but trust me, or just have a look at the photo. 😄 They work beautifully together color-wise, especially for this warm autumn mood. Shape obviously comes from our Mintay Basic - Bracket Card Base. Love this shape soooo much!

And there’s no big story behind this card. No wedding I’m going to. I simply felt like making it, just for the pleasure of creating. Maybe one day the right occasion will find it. 🤎

Apparently, my comfort zone has changed. And I’m not mad about it. 🖤

Romantic grunge is one of those styles I don’t use very often, but I really, really like it. A little romantic, a little messy, darker, imperfect... definitely a mood I’m enjoying more and more lately.

And this card started with one of my absolute favorites, our Mintay Papers Arch Card Base. I’ve used this shape so many times and somehow I’m still not tired of it. I just love it.

The rest is a pretty unexpected mix of products. The first paper layer comes from MAN CAVE, then I added Art Journal Essentials Ephemera – Grunge, die-cuts from ACADEMIA and a few from our newest TEEN SPIRIT collection. Quite different worlds on paper, but somehow they found a common language here.

I’ve also noticed that I’m reaching for darker colors much more often now. Not so long ago I would probably have called this stepping outside my comfort zone. Today? Not really. Maybe my comfort zone simply got bigger. 😄

I still love my mint, blush, salmon and all those muted shades, but lately I’m really enjoying this contrast between softness and darkness.

So yes... romantic grunge might be staying on my craft table for a while. 🖤 Would you try this style with me?
