Board Member and Managing Director of the Foundation Equal Society International (ESI)
With profound sorrow, we bid farewell to Muhammad Mohsin Durrani – an outstanding humanist, visionary, and friend, whose life and work will forever remain a part of the history of the international human rights movement.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and faithful friend. A man of exceptional empathy and sensitivity, who always stood in defence of the weak, the oppressed, and the marginalised. He brought hope where injustice prevailed and fought for human rights, civic equality, and social justice with courage and determination.
As Ambassador-at-Large of IHRC, Special Envoy and Head of the Diplomatic Mission, he represented the highest values on the international stage, building bridges of understanding between nations and communities. As the Founder of the Civil Society News Network (CSNN), he left behind a lasting legacy – a platform of independent journalism dedicated to the ideals of freedom of expression and truth.
In the Foundation Equal Society International (ESI), serving as Managing Director and Board Member, he brought vision and determination to the implementation of educational, humanitarian, and social projects that had a real and lasting impact on the lives of many.
He will remain in our memory as a man of a beautiful soul – full of understanding, warmth, and professionalism. His passing is a profound loss, but also a solemn commitment to continue the mission he began.
It was a privilege and an honour to know Muhammad Mohsin Durrani, to work alongside him, and to share a common vision of a just and equal world.
Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
