This morning, I stepped out to buy a few things from the shop. When I came back home and took off my glasses, I noticed they were covered with a thin layer of steam. For a second, I just stood there looking at them.
It made me think — when was the last time we truly appreciated what we already have? Our eyes that let us see moments like this. Our legs that carry us everywhere. Our body, our health, our mind — quietly working for us every single day, without asking for anything in return.
Then my thoughts moved beyond that.
How often do we pause and feel grateful for love? For our parents, who gave us everything they could. For a wife who walks beside us. For children, family, and friends who make life feel less heavy. We get so used to their presence that we forget how precious it really is.
Sometimes, all it takes is a small moment — like fog on a pair of glasses — to remind us how clear life already is, if we just slow down and look.
