I just got back from the DMC World DJ Championships World Finals in Tokyo, and I’ve gotta share some thoughts. Hands down, this was the best turntablist trip of my life — and not just because of the competition itself, but everything that happened after it!
It’s honestly hard to put the atmosphere of the event into words… I’ve only been to two world finals before, but the fact that this one marked the 40th anniversary of DMC made it truly special. The number of absolute LEGENDS in turntablism was both inspiring and intimidating — yet everyone was so open and friendly that it instantly felt like family.
Getting to meet and exchange a few words with my biggest idols — Qbert, D-Styles, DJ KENTARO, DJ KEN-ONE, DJ RENA — was literally a dream come true for me as a turntablist.
But the real highlight of the whole trip, the part that meant the most to me, was visiting Master Miyajima at his legendary Skratch Dojo and watching his incredible style live. His hand movements are so diverse and unique that at times I was just standing there, hypnotized, trying to process what I had just witnessed.
The amount of inspiration and pure scratch energy I took from that moment will stay with me for a long time. Thank you, Master! 🙏
Huge thanks also to the DMC Poland crew for making all of this even possible! Hats off to Piotr, Wojtek and the whole team — truly appreciate everything you do!
And finally — big congratulations to Fummy, Raylan, Aociz and Beastmode for taking the titles! Incredible skills all around, as always! 🎧🔥

YO MY PEEPS! Właśnie wróciłem z finałów w Tokio i muszę się trochę podzielić wrażeniami. Zdecydowanie był to najlepszy turntablistyczny wyjazd w moim życiu! I to nie do końca ze względu na zawody, ale na to, co wydarzyło się po nich!
Klimat samych zawodów ciężko jest mi opisać słowami... Co prawda byłem do tej pory zaledwie na dwóch finałach, ale sam fakt, że była to 40 rocznica DMC sprawił, że wydarzenie było bardzo wyjątkowe. Ilość absolutnych Legend turntablismu była wręcz onieśmielająca, a z drugiej wszyscy byli tak przyjaźni i otwarci, że nikt nie czuł się skrępowany. Możliwość zamienienia kilku słów i przebywania pomiędzy moimi największymi idolami jak DJ KENTARO DJ KEN-ONE DJ RENA było dla mnie spełnieniem najśmielszych, turntablistycznych marzeń.
Zwieńczeniem i jak dla mnie najważniejszą częścią wyjazdu była jednak wizyta u Mistrza w jego Skratch dojo i możliwość poobserwowania jego niesamowitego stylu na żywo. Jego hand movement jest tak zróżnicowany i unikalny, że chwilami stałem jak zahipnotyzowany próbując objąć umysłem, co przed chwilą się wydarzyło. Przeogromna ilość inspiracji i zajawy jakiej doświadczyłem napewno pozostanie ze mną na długo. Dziękuję Mistrzu!
W tym miejscu muszę również podziękować ekipie DMC Poland za to, że w ogóle do tego wszystkiego doszło! Czapki z głów i reszta ekipy! Dziękuję za wszystko!
