Dear Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,

on June 19th-21st, 2023, the Polish Scientific Society of Combustion Engines, in collaboration with the Division of Automotive Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, is organizing the jubilee X International Congress on Combustion Engines.

The congress, organized biennially, has gained international significance, highlighting the need for a regular debate over the development of combustion engines, not only among technology experts but also experts in the field of environmental protection, medicine, social and economic sciences, legal studies and politics. The congress theme, „Quo Vadis, Combustion Engine?”, is in line with widely expected sustainable actions. Finding the answer to the question above will be possible through a broad exchange of knowledge and experience between specialists representing science, research and industry. We hope, therefore, that the participants in the Congress will include not only specialists in combustion engines but also experts from related fields.

Please join us earlier on Monday, June 19th 2023, to experience the atmosphere of the congress and Wrocław as well, a city whose reputation as a „Meeting Place” is based on its rich, cosmopolitan history, dating back to the 10th century. We encourage you to visit the Market Square, Ostrów Tumski, the Racławice Panorama, the Centennial Hall with Szczytnicki Park and modern locations such as Hydropolis and Africarium. It will be also possible to explore the current research potential of selected laboratories located at Wrocław Tech, a university established in 1945, just after World War II, with academic traditions rooted in the German Technische Hochschule Breslau and two universities of the pre-war Lviv.

The main part of the congress will be held on June 20th and 21st. Our participants will be able to join the planned debate on the future of combustion engines by attending panel discussions and poster sessions. An exhibition of measuring equipment and instruments will be available throughout the congress, together with a presentation of the latest developments in automotive technology. These new solutions will be seen through the lens of past and present, revealing the historical continuity between e.g. the 50th anniversary of setting Fiat 125P’s speed record and the modern racing cars created by the students from PWR Racing Team.

Miło nam jest zakomunikować, że obecnie wszystkie artykuły Combustion Engines (z lat 2021-2004) zawarte na stronie internetowej http://www.combustion-engines.eu/ posiadają unikalne numery .

Dotychczas tylko część artykułów miała nadane numery DOI (do 2016 roku włącznie). Dzięki bieżącym zmianom zasięg czasopisma powinien ulec zwiększeniu.

Prosimy zatem Państwa o wykorzystywanie tego identyfikatora do cytowania artykułów Combustion Engines podczas publikacji w dowolnych innych czasopismach. Przykładowe sposoby cytowania zawarte są na stronie każdego z artykułów (combustion-engines.eu). Dodatkowo znajduje się tam wyszukiwarka np. słów kluczowych, autorów itd.

Powyższa polityka umożliwi znaczne rozpowszechnienie naszego czasopisma, zwiększając jednocześnie liczbę odbiorców.
Jest to bardzo istotne w odniesieniu do chęci ubiegania się o przyjęcie do bazy Scopus pod koniec 2021 roku.

We are pleased to communicate that now all Combustion Engines articles (from 2021-2004) posted on http://www.combustion-engines.eu/ have unique DOI numbers.

Previously, only a limited number of articles were assigned DOI numbers (up to and including 2016). With the current changes, the reach of the journal should increase.

We therefore ask you to use this identifier to cite Combustion Engines articles when publishing in any other journals. Examples of how to cite are given on the page of each article (combustion-engines.eu). Additionally, you will find there a search engine for e.g. keywords, authors, etc.

The above policy will enable significant spread of our journal and increase the audience at the same time.
This is very important with regard to the desire to apply for admission to the Scopus database at the end of 2021.

We use the CrossRef database for article indexing (DOI), which provides complete integrity with other databases.

Nagroda PTNSS dla autora wyróżnionej rozprawy doktorskiej

Polskie Towarzystwo Naukowe Silników Spalinowych ustanowiło coroczną nagrodę Polskiego Towarzystwa Naukowego Silników Spalinowych dla autora wyróżnionej rozprawy doktorskiej w celu uczczenia pamięci Profesora Zygmunta Szlachty. W celu wzięcia udziału w konkursie o Nagrodę Polskiego Towarzystwa Naukowego Silników Spalinowych dla Autora Wyróżnionej Rozprawy Doktorskiej im. Profesora Zygmunta Szlachty za mijający rok kalendarzowy promotorzy rozpraw lub kierownicy jednostek, które nadały stopień (np. dziekan lub dyrektor jednostki badawczo–rozwojowej), powinni złożyć dokumentację rozpraw doktorskich, zawierającą:
- egzemplarz rozprawy doktorskiej (w formacie PDF),
- recenzje rozprawy, pochodzące z jej przewodu doktorskiego,
- uchwałę Rady Wydziału lub Rady Naukowej, która nadała stopień doktora.

Przypominamy, że do 31.03.2021 mija termin zgłaszania prac.
