an interview with Gabor Mate!
In the latest episode of the podcast, I talk to a world-renowned physicist and therapist about the psychological and social aspects of the genocide being committed in Gaza by Israel. Mate recounts his own experience of how his identity as a Jewish victim gained support in Zionist ideology and how he later discovered how it distorted the true history of Palestine. Today, in Gaza, we are witnessing the most important moral challenge of our time, an event that crystallizes attitudes, actual beliefs, and tests many narratives, identifications, and ideologies. Can the violence be stopped? Can the trauma it has caused be healed so that historical massacres are not repeated? We discuss these and many other questions during our conversation.
The conversation accompanies Dr Gabor Mate Poland Tour, a one week visit in Poland in solidarity with the people of Palestine and against the genocide in Gaza. Maté will give lectures and talks in Warsaw, Poznan, Cracow, Wroclaw and Lodz.
