The International Competition of Polish Music promotes Polish music worldwide and disseminate the wonderful legacy excellent Polish composers amongst a wide spectrum of listeners. The Competition popularizes Polish music written in the 19th and 20th centuries, especially rediscovered works that can be restored to concert practice. The 3rd International Competition of Polish Music will take place a

t the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic Hall in Rzeszów between July 2 and 9, 2023. The participants of the Competition will contest for the total prize money in the amount of 100 000 euros to be won jointly in two categories - pianists and chamber ensembles. During the competition, the musicians will present works selected from amongst those written by 60 Polish composers mostly active in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The participants create a programme that they will perform in the successive stages of the competition. Alongside such famous composers as Chopin, Paderewski, Górecki or Penderecki, we will also find less well-known representatives of different styles and musical eras, such as Antoni Kątski, Eugeniusz Pankiewicz and Stefan Kisielewski. Equally important are Polish female composers represented by Maria Szymanowska and Grażyna Bacewicz. The competition will be chronicled in a series of recordings in electronic and CD formats distributed worldwide. The rulebook, framework schedule of the competition, application forms, information on the repertoire, composers and sheet music, as well as all the updates, can be found on the dedicated website: polishmusiccompetition.pl.

Międzynarodowy Konkurs Muzyki Polskiej im. Stanisław Moniuszki w Rzeszowie

English version below

Uczestnicy I edycji Konkursu będą prezentować w Konkursie utwory 50 polskich kompozytorów, tworzących głównie w XIX i XX wieku.
