The band explains the track:
“What can we expect?
Well, no one knows why we are here or what we are supposed to do with all this... So - create your own reality for your own self! This is what we think Miciński wanted to tell you about.
Building on his poem, we expanded his idea, and that’s the message behind the song “No One Knows.” The first stanza was written by the Poet himself - Tadeusz Miciński.
"Mountains in clouds for millions of years.
Why in clouds? No one knows.
The heart yearns for seas, mountains and thrones.
Why does it yearn? No one knows.
“And as we gaze into the infinite abyss,
we wait for the abyss to gaze back into us.
The heart yearns for what is distant,
we crave for what is not within us.
“Mountains in clouds,
why in clouds?
No one knows.
The heart yearns,
why does it yearn?
No one knows".
The band described "Gorzkie Plony" as "a return to the spirit of our inaugural work". The album was mixed and mastered by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio. The artwork was completed by JRMR. The album also includes session drums by Anti-Christian (Doedsvangr, Beaten to Death, ex-Tsjuder).
