What is usability, and why is it so important for your application❓
👉 Usability is a qualitative indicator of how well a user, in a particular context, can use a product to effectively, efficiently, and satisfactorily achieve a stated goal. In other words, usability helps you understand how comfortable it is for the user to use the interface.
⬇️ Usability assesses according to 5 quality criteria:
1️⃣ Ease of Learning: how easy it is for users to complete basic tasks when they first encounter design.
2️⃣ Efficiency: how quickly users navigate the user interface.
3️⃣ Memorability: how easy it is for users to navigate the product interface if they haven't used it for a while.
4️⃣ Errors: how many errors do users make, how critical are these errors, and how easily can they be fixed?
5️⃣ Satisfaction: how enjoyable is the design?
❗ There are other important quality characteristics, among which is usefulness, which relates to the functionality of the design: whether it does what the users want it to do and more.
