Zuzanna Zachara-Hassairi, członkini FDOP, dołączyła do szeregów PSC - Stowarzyszenia Autorek i Autorów Zdjęć Filmowych. Gratulujemy Zuza!

Zuzanna ma na swoim koncie dwie nagrody PSC za zdjęcia do pełnometrażowych filmów dokumentalnych, filmu “Pisklaki” (zdjęcia wspólnie z Wojtkiem Staroniem) oraz za film “Las”, który poza nagrodą PSC zdobył również nagrodę dla Najlepszego Filmu Polskiego na festiwalu Millenium Docs Against Gravity w 2024 roku. Obecnie dobiegła końca ostatnia edycja Festiwalu MDAG, gdzie Zuzanna zasiadała w Jury Nagrody za najlepsze zdjęcia.

Trzymamy kciuki za kolejne wspaniałe filmowe obrazy.

FDOP’s statement in response to Marek Żydowicz’s article in

FDOP wishes to express its deep concern regarding recent statements made by Marek Żydowicz, Director and CEO of EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival, as published on November 8th in Cinematography World magazine.

We firmly reject the notion that artistic merit should be evaluated through the lens of gender.

FDOP Collective unites professional female directors of photography from Poland. Marek Żydowicz’s statement directly regards us, too.

This year’s edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival will be held under The Year of Brave Women theme.

Views expressed in the article raise concern for the authenticity of the Festival’s support for equality within the industry.

We are encouraged by the British Society of Cinematographers’ (BSC) recent open letter to Mr. Żydowicz and the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival, which expressed unequivocal disapproval of the tone and opinions presented in the article.

It is heartening to witness the film community’s united stance for diversity and inclusion, reflected across societies, collectives, directors of photography, and other industry members worldwide.

For several months, Women in Cinematography have engaged in discussions with the Festival regarding a comprehensive diversity and inclusion policy. Yet the release of a new policy alone does not offset the concerning message conveyed in the article.

We expect EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival to take tangible, impactful steps to restore trust within our industry.

FDOP wyraża głębokie zaniepokojenie oficjalnym stanowiskiem dyrektora i CEO festiwalu EnergaCAMERIMAGE Marka Żydowicza, opublikowanym 8 listopada w magazynie Cinematography World.

Nie ma naszej zgody na ocenę wartości twórczości artystycznej przez pryzmat płci.

Kolektyw FDOP zrzesza profesjonalne autorki zdjęć filmowych z Polski. Wypowiedź Marka Żydowicza dotyczy bezpośrednio również nas.

Tegoroczna edycja EnergaCAMERIMAGE odbędzie się pod hasłem The Year of Brave Women, Roku Silnych Kobiet.

Opinie wyrażone w artykule budzą obawy co do rzeczywistego poparcia Festiwalu dla równości w branży.

Jesteśmy zbudowane listem otwartym Brytyjskiego Stowarzyszenia Autorów i Autorek Zdjęć Filmowych (BSC) do Marka Żydowicza i festiwalu EnergaCAMERIMAGE, wyrażającym jednoznaczną dezaprobatę w stosunku do treści i formy artykułu.

Cieszy nas jednomyślne poparcie dla różnorodności i inkluzywności, wyrażone przez międzynarodowe środowisko filmowe – stowarzyszenia, kolektywy, autorki i autorów zdjęć oraz osoby z branży.

Od kilku miesięcy Women in Cinematography negocjowały z Festiwalem stworzenie i wprowadzenie polityki różnorodności i inkluzywności. Publikacja nowej polityki nie zmienia jednak wydźwięku słów, które padły w artykule.

Liczymy, że festiwal EnergaCAMERIMAGE podejmie konkretne kroki mające na celu odbudowę zaufania branży.

The Special Golden Camera 300 Award for Outstanding Contribution to World Cinematic Art at the 45th International Cinematographers’ Film Festival “Manaki Brothers” goes to Jolanta Dylewska, PSC. Congratulations!!

The first and oldest film festival in the world dedicated to the creativity of cinematographers has featured Jolanta’s work many times, recognising her as one of the most successful cinematographers in its history, with as many as three awards: for Tulpan in 2008, In Darkness (2012) and Ayka (2019).

At this year’s „Manaki Brothers” Festival Jolanta gave a master class. She pointed that if she could now advise the younger self, she would say to herself – „Always be true, believe in yourself and your emotional intelligence“.

„I started thinking about what cinematography would have looked like if the Manaki brothers had a sister. How different would cinematic art look if a woman had participated in the creation from the very beginning. From the moment they put the camera to record, the visual history of the world was created. From the beginning it was a man`s job and I wonder how different it would have been if the Manaki brothers had a sister. I really regret that it did not happen“ - she admitted at a press conference and explained that now things have changed and there are a lot of young women who are choosing this path. 

Nagroda Specjalna Golden Camera 300 Festiwalu „Manaki Brothers” za wyjątkowy wkład w światową sztukę filmową otrzymała Jolanta Dylewska, PSC. Gratulacje!!

Pierwszy i najstarszy festiwal filmowy na świecie poświęcony kreatywności autorek i autorów zdjęć filmowych niejednokrotnie gościł prace Jolanty, i przyznawszy nagrody odpowiednio za filmy: Tulpan w 2008 roku, W Ciemności (2012) oraz Ajka (2019), uznaje ją za jedną z najbardziej utytułowanych operatorek w swojej historii.

Na tegorocznym Festiwalu „Manaki Brothers” Jolanta poprowadziła master class. Podkreśliła, że gdyby teraz mogła udzielić rady samej sobie z przeszłości, powiedziałaby: „Zawsze bądź prawdziwa, wierz w siebie i swoją inteligencję emocjonalną”.
