💬 "[Magdalene Ho's] playing style is defined by a combination of singing-like sound, legato and cantilena, with the ability to evoke the entire palette of orchestral colours from the piano. She possesses a powerful expressiveness that ignites on stage. She poured her heart into this [Grieg's] Concerto, a repertoire firework. She has a gift for reimagining works, creating original visions that make us look at well-worn classics with fresh eyes and without prejudice." - writes Mateusz Ciupka in Szafa Melomana after Magdalene Ho's Polish debut with the Filharmonia Poznańska Orchestra under Marek Pijarowski.

We look forward to the next concerts of Magdalene Ho in Poland and wish her a well-deserved Christmas and new year's break! 🎄💖

🌟 It was a great pleasure to tour with the Filarmonica George Enescu under the baton of Gabriel Bebeselea together with Jaemin Han in Poland.

🙇‍♂️ Many thanks to the Festiwal Eufonie and the Filharmonia Krakowska for a fruitful collaboration.

🇵🇱🤝🇷🇴 The concerts were the finale of the Poland–Romania Cultural Season — a joint initiative of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland and the Instytut Adama Mickiewicza organised in cooperation with Institutul Polonez / Instytut Polski w Bukareszcie, the Romanian Ministry of Culture and Rumuński Instytut Kultury w Warszawie / Institutul Cultural Român Varşovia.

💬 "In the hands of a master, however, the harpsichord is quite sufficient to mesmerize an audience, but there's one condition: one must play with uninhibited, improvisational flair. This is precisely what Świątkiewicz achieved, allowing himself, for example, moments of greater rubato than any of this year's Chopin Competition participants." - writes in Ruch Muzyczny Mateusz Ciupka after Marcin Świątkiewicz's concert with Jana Semerádová's Collegium Marianum in Prague last Tuesday.

‼📻 Radio alert 📻‼

Tonight at 8 pm CET the Český rozhlas D-dur broadcasts last Monday's concert of Linus Roth with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra Symfonický orchestr Českého rozhlasu under Andris Poga. The concert will be also streamed online, and to listen to it, you can follow the link in the comment 👇

💬 As Jiří Bezděk writes in the Opera PLUS: "In every measure it was clear that the choice of soloist for this concert was most successful. Linus Roth played the beautiful Stradivari instrument Dancla from 1703, which helped him to dominate the relatively dense mass of accompanying sound and create enchanting violin lines." - you will find the full article (in Czech) under the link in the second comment 👇👇

💬 "A major success for all involved, and a clear demonstration of how modern opera can speak to our times" writes Gavin Dixon in a 5* review for Opera Now about the world premiere performance of Elżbieta Sikora's "Dorian Gray" at the Teatr Wielki im. Stanisława Moniuszki w Poznaniu.

‼️ For those who can experience it live, you can see "Dorian Gray" tonight, on Thursday the 27th and on Saturday the 29th of November. We also heard that later, the recording of the performances could be also seen online... 📡

👏 Congratulations to Elzbieta Sikora, David Pountney (libretto and director), Jacek Kasprzyk (music director), Rafał Żurek (Dorian Gray), Michal Partyka (Basil), Joanna Freszel (Sibyl), Łukasz Konieczny (James), Gosha Kowalinska (La Grise) and all the artists and team involved!
