More than two years ago, I added another exciting career prospect of being a Tour Guide. It has only changed me for good, refining my views on surroundings and sustainability. Guiding tourists into unexplored regions and presenting them with the best prompts me to go a step further and explore it adequately. Writing fulfils me, and I believe that a good description can create an ideal picture of a place or product. Makes me believe that this unfaltering love for words puts storytelling way above my other inclinations! Today, I look at every new day with a different outlook. This September, while participating in Spotlight on Poland 2025 in Sopot, I had the chance to listen, observe, and speak with some of the country’s leading venues and convention teams.

What I saw confirmed one thing:
Poland is entering a defining moment in hospitality.

🇵🇱 On November 7, 1867, Polish physicist and chemist, Maria Skłodowska, was born in Warsaw.

She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and the only woman to win the Nobel Prize twice. An avid supporter of Poland's independence, she collaborated with her husband, Pierre Curie, discovered radium and studied the effects of radioactivity.

They also discovered polonium - the name of the chemical element got its name from Poland.

Maria Skłodowska - Curie was the first woman to become a professor at the Sorbonne University and was twice awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics and Chemistry. Maria Skłodowska lived to see the times when Poland returned to the world map.

Client: How thrilling can it get for a real winter experience in Poland?
Me: How much can you handle? 😅

True story: Our 4x4 safari ride broke down in the middle of Bieszczady during mid-winter. Luckily, we had the expert company of a local forest ranger. We were walking right next to the predators’ feeding spot! The clutch burnt out, so we ditched the car and hiked the rest of the way.
