The bear is on average larger than the tiger in size, has a more powerful bite, and is more enduring in a long fight, but is inferior to the tiger in speed. Tigers usually attack first, because bears are slower and less aggressive. According to statistics, in about half of the cases, the conflict ends in the death of the bear. About a quarter of the fights end in the death of the tiger, and in another quarter of the cases the big cat simply runs away from the battlefield.

Fights between tigers and bears in nature happen quite often. Predators divide the prey, plus tigers generally have a habit of preying on rival predators as well. Against a big and seasoned bear, the tiger has not so many chances, the chances of a predator against young or old individuals are much better.

The dark stripes of black tigers are disproportionately large, and the main color is poorly visible behind the large stripes, so the skin appears dark in color.
In the middle of the 20th century in Asia, they tried to specially breed white tigers, crossing white individuals exclusively among themselves. In order to inherit white, both parents must have the genetic mutation. This led to inbreeding.
