Chasing Waterfalls 🌊
After nearly three years of closures, repairs, landslides, and roadway collapse, California’s iconic Highway 1 along the breathtaking Big Sur coastline has officially reopened to the public earlier this year.
The scenic 90-mile stretch—one of the most beautiful coastal drives in the world—welcomed travelers back this spring, restoring access to dramatic ocean cliffs, redwood forests, hidden beaches, and those unforgettable Pacific Coast views.
Among the most unforgettable stops is McWay Falls, an 80-foot waterfall that drops directly onto a secluded sandy cove. One of the rare “tidefalls” in the world, which is a waterfall that drops directly into the ocean. It offers an almost unreal, postcard-perfect view of the California coast.
This drive is pure magic from start to finish.
