A little rain rolled in this afternoon.
So I stopped what I was doing and sat on the porch for a while.
The air cooled down.
The plants got their drink.
And everything became quiet except for the rain tapping on the roof.
I didn’t accomplish anything.
I didn’t check anything off a list.
I just sat there and watched the world slow down.
Years ago, I probably would have used that time to clean a drawer or fold something.
Now I know better.
Some moments are not asking to be productive.
They are simply asking to be noticed.
Today, the rain was enough.
