Roughly one month from now is the 20th anniversary of my coming out, and it’s been awesome seeing things change, and seeing acceptance largely take the place of homophobia.⁣
⁣
This Coming Out Day, I wonder about my future, and particularly about those who would seek to legislate my rights away, whether from Congress, or the bench of the Supreme Court.⁣
⁣
This is why voting is so important, and why I will be casting mine with hope for the future, but a whole hell of a lot of anger at all the f**kery that’s already taken place. ⁣
⁣
One vote on the Supreme Court in 2015 made the difference between whether or not I’d get to marry one day. Many of my heterosexual friends express skepticism that it can be taken away.⁣
⁣
I do not. I know it can be. And I know that with the Republican Party in control of the senate, the executive branch, and the judicial branch, it’s only a matter of time.⁣
⁣
But Happy National Coming Out Day! We’re here, we’re q***r, and we’re going to vote you out.

You may (or may not!) have noticed it’s been all quiet on the aging gay millennial front for the last couple weeks.⁣⁣

To reference my previous episode (and surprise! season one finale) life threw me a little curve ball! So season one of AGM is over! ⁣⁣

Long live season two of AGM, which will be back & gayer than ever this October.⁣
⁣
So thank you for all the love you’ve shown me for this inaugural season. It’s been so learn-as-I-go and I couldn’t have done it without all the wonderful support and encouragement from the podcasting community and everyone who listened as I spewed word vomit like an out-of-control fire hose.
