بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للطيور المهاجرة
هادا تصميمي لتمير فلسطين اللي معروف عنه انه بيهاجر كل مكان بس بيوصل لفلسطين وًما بيهاجر
In celebration of World Migratory Bird Day, this is my design for the Palestinian sunbird, which is known for migrating everywhere but only when it reaches Palestine, and then it doesn’t migrate again.
For my new design, I chose the Palestinian sunbird . It’s a very small bird... and that’s precisely why I chose it. Because it resembles Gaza... small in size, but with a huge impact. This bird migrates... but when it arrives in Palestine, it settles.
I also chose “faqua flower “... because the bird feeds on them, and they are one of the details that characterize the land of Palestine.
I added lines of longitude and latitude to the design... and these coordinates point to the location of Gaza itself. A small dot on the map... but it carries a much deeper meaning.
While working on the idea... I imagined the design as a coin. Something we hold in our hands... and pass around. It reminded me of the games we used to play as children... simple things, but they stay with us, carrying a part of our memories.
Then... I saw the design as if it were one of the “chips” we loved as children. It wasn’t just a taste... it was a memory. And maybe that’s what I love most about my designs... they always take me back to my childhood, to things that no one can erase.
This design... is one of many stories. You can see this design and the rest of the designs on the pupa-gaza website. Because every design... is not just an appearance, it’s a story. 🦜
