A demonstration unfolded in Berlin to denounce mounting pressure exerted on academics, artists, and cultural figures who openly support Palestine. Protesters gathered near the venue of a conference of German education and culture ministers, carrying Palestinian flags, chanting slogans critical of both Israel and the German government, and demanding an academic and cultural boycott of Israeli institutions. They also called on German bodies to sever scholarly ties with their Israeli counterparts and demanded that Israel end its occupation of Palestinian land.

Acre (Akka): The Timeless City by the Sea
Acre, known in Arabic as Akka, is a stunning coastal city in northern Palestine overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Its ancient walls, stone alleys, and bustling harbor tell stories of centuries of civilizations — from the Canaanites and Crusaders to the Ottomans. The Old City of Acre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is surrounded by massive fortifications and filled with colourful markets, historic mosques, and charming seafood restaurants along the sea Walking through Akka feels like travelling through time — where waves meet history - and every stone whispers tales of courage, culture, and life.

Fatah Holds Israel Responsible for Prisoner Marwan Barghouti’s Life

The Fatah movement has held the Israeli government fully responsible for the life of imprisoned leader Marwan Barghouti, affirming that recent assaults during his transfer between Ramon and Megiddo prisons will not break his will.

In a statement, Fatah said the attacks violate international law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention, and are part of systematic repressive measures against Palestinian prisoners. The movement called on the international community and human rights organizations to intervene and halt these violations.

Freedom is the Right of Every Palestinian Prisoner Held in Israeli Prisons

While the Israeli prisoners were handed over according to principles, standards, and laws that respect human rights—in an exchange deal with the Israeli occupation, and despite the Israeli authorities’ stubborn refusal to release key figures of the Palestinian national prisoners’ movement, including leaders Marwan Barghouti, Ahmed Saadat, and Abdullah Barghouti, the occupying state—which considers itself “the only democratic state” in the Middle East, according to its officials—threatened the Palestinian prisoners released under the exchange deal, as well as their families. Israeli security agencies warned them against holding any form of celebration, making contact with anyone, or giving any press interviews in which they spoke about what they endured during captivity or what they faced during their release process.
Prisoners are subjected to various forms of humiliation, abuse, and torture during years of imprisonment. Upon release, and during their transfer by bus to the exchange site, the effects of these abuses were visibly clear on their physical condition. They endured deliberate starvation, systematic torture, severe beatings, the spread of epidemics—particularly skin diseases—without receiving any form of medical treatment, in addition to attacks by trained police dogs, solitary confinement, denial of family and lawyer visits, occasional poisoning of the rationed food provided to them, and the stripping and sexual harassment of female prisoners, as well as child detainees, with threats of sexual assault. Even elderly prisoners were not spared from harassment. Psychological manipulation was used against them and their families to break their morale, causing chronic anxiety and distress. Some were told they were included in the exchange deal, only to be later excluded, or told they would not be deported, only to find out they were. Such practices violate all relevant norms and laws, all carried out under complete secrecy, with official Israeli support, and with Arab and international neglect and local popular abandonment, according to testimonies from some of those released.
Targeting prisoners is a longstanding and recurring occupation policy, which escalated after October 7, 2023. The far-right Israeli government views this as a form of revenge. This adds to the brutality and barbarism the Israeli state practiced in response to the resistance operation, targeting all Palestinians and turning Gaza into a place unfit for life.
The Israeli escalation against prisoners is part of a systematic policy that amounts to war crimes and violates all relevant laws. It aims to break the will of the Palestinian people by targeting their imprisoned national symbols, thereby targeting the resistance ideology itself, seeking to uproot it from the Palestinian mindset and replace it with frustration, despair, and deterrence from pursuing their legitimate rights.
One of the most prominent results of this fascist policy has been the martyrdom of dozens of prisoners, buried in numbered graves without allowing their families to hold funeral ceremonies or even take a final farewell, in addition to the spread of chronic diseases among them due to deliberate medical neglect.

Haitham Mu'in Salem, an employee at the Beit Lahia Municipality, is not affiliated with any political faction.

He was arrested by the Israeli occupation a year ago and was released today, only to find that his wife and all his children had been martyred in an Israeli airstrike a few weeks ago.
Haitham had prepared a small gift for his daughter, who was supposed to celebrate her birthday in a few days…

But the celebration is gone, the little girl is gone, and the father remains—carrying his pain and a small gift that never reached its owner.
Haitham’s story is just one of thousands that encapsulate the collective agony of Gaza—

Death Toll in Gaza Reaches 67,938 Since October 2023

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported on Wednesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli military campaign has risen to 67,938 people, with at least 170,169 others injured, since the start of the escalation on October 7, 2023.

According to the latest figures, 25 more fatalities were recorded in the past 24 hours — including 16 bodies recovered from the rubble and one individual who succumbed to previous injuries. An additional 35 people were injured and transported to hospitals across the Strip.

Health officials noted that the actual number of casualties is likely higher, as many victims remain trapped under debris or are lying in areas inaccessible to emergency teams. Rescue efforts continue to be severely hindered by ongoing hostilities and dangerous conditions on the ground.

Haj Lafi Faqih “Abu Al-Sadiq”… A Heart Rooted in the Land 🌿🇵🇸

From the village of Beit Imrin, northwest of Nablus, Haj Lafi Faqih — known as “Abu Al-Sadiq” — stands as a living example of deep love for the land and its cultivation. Despite his age, he still works his fields with his own hands, planting and harvesting with tireless passion, as if the soil of Palestine flows through his veins.

Those who know him say farming, for Haj Lafi, is more than just a livelihood — it’s a message of belonging and a symbol of loyalty to a homeland that never leaves his heart. You’ll often find him among the olive trees, speaking to them as if they were old friends, nurturing them with his spirit before the water.
