Dear Friends of This Week in Palestine,

Come rain, come shine; come war, come peace, we march on in our mission to promote and document Palestine. We do our best to overcome the hurdles and obstacles – some minor, some major – but this is part of running any project. Particularly one that has continued uninterruptedly for twenty-six and a half years. Our passion comes from our love of Palestine and from the belief that the gross injustice that has been inflicted upon the Palestinians will one day be rectified, and that Palestinians will be vindicated and will exercise their right to live independently like the other peoples of the world.

The current June issue of This Week in Palestine themed Palestinian Refugees II is a sequel to the May issue that carried the same theme. As I wrote last month, the topic deserves greater scrutiny during the ongoing genocide. We would like to thank again Dr. Norma Masriyyeh Hazboun, an associate professor at Bethlehem and Birzeit Universities, for her advice and invaluable consultation on the content, and all the authors who have contributed articles that have enriched this edition. Similar to the May issue, the June issue acknowledges five personalities who have contributed greatly to making known the reality of Palestinian refugees. In this issue, we acknowledge Ghada Karmi, Avi Shlaim, Nur Masalha, Edward Said, and Ilan Pappé.

I’m proud to announce that the June 2025 issue of This Week in Palestine, themed Palestinian Refugees II, is now accessible online at www.thisweekinpalestine.com.

Forthcoming themes
- July 2025: Steadfast Under Adversity: Palestine’s Pride List (bronze sponsor: Palestine Investment Fund)
- August 2025: Palestine’s International Pride List

We’re launching the May 2025 issue of This Week in Palestine on May 15, the day of the Nakba, when we Palestinians commemorate the mass displacement and destruction of our homeland in 1948 and beyond.

The beefed-up issue is rather heavy and comes after extraordinary efforts from TWiP’s team. We would like to thank Dr. Norma Masriyyeh Hazboun for her advice and invaluable consultation on the content, and artist Wadeei Khaled for letting us use his beautiful artwork titled “We Love Life as Much as We Can” for the cover.

I’m proud to announce that the May 2025 issue of This Week in Palestine, the first of two issues themed “Palestinian Refugees I,” is now accessible online at www.thisweekinpalestine.com.

Forthcoming themes:
June 2025: Palestinian Refugees II
July 2025: Steadfast Under Adversity

Considering that we were not able to find a sponsor for this important issue, please remember that This Week in Palestine is a self-sustaining project that needs your support in order to keep promoting the Palestinian narrative and documenting Palestine. The message behind the current April 2025 issue of This Week in Palestine is that as soon as conditions get better, Palestinians will rise like a phoenix and rebuild their institutions.

We are proud to announce that the April 2025 issue of This Week in Palestine, themed “Resurrecting the Health Sector,” is now accessible online at www.thisweekinpalestine.com. We are grateful to PHARMACARE LTD. for acquiring the Silver Sponsorship of this issue. Pharmacare has historically stood by and have believed in This Week in Palestine.

The April issue is informative, capturing, heartwarming, and will certainly move your emotions, but above all, it reflects our reality today. A reality that will soon change to the better because I believe the tide has started to change.

Forthcoming themes:
May 2025: Palestinian Refugees I
June 2025: Palestinian Refugees II
