Mattykore introduced to rave music upon stumbling across early Life4land free parties at the age of around 16 or 17 in Cambridge. From here he went on to start his own sound system and crew... Structualy Unsound () which later merged into Life4Land Sound System, but returning to run Structually Unsound and Hard Sessions full time in Portugal.

Since owning a set of decks since the age of 15th he started playing a range of music at parties such as Hardcore Techno, Jungle, Acid Techno & Drum and Bass he started producing around the age of 20 later moving to Bristol to promote Life4land in the South West and ended up linking up with the massive DMT / Irritant / Kaotik sound systems where he ended up co-managing the Hard Sessions room at some of the biggest rave events Lakota and The Black Swan had ever seen in Bristol!

Getting into producing also around this time he ended up releasing various vinyl's with some of the crews he was working with... Kaotik records with Vandal, Sinistro records from Russia, Irritant Sounds UK , Wicked Squad Vienna, Desert Storm tales from the darkside remix project of Tango and Rattys classic along side vinyl ju**ie and producer to name a few.

While collaborating with Gruta for a while these 3 heavy hitters have been around and frequently participate in our free party scene with energetic concerts filled of true underground vibes. We had the chance to find them on the road in multiple crazy moments and concerts with their so symbolic Caravan, a testemony to freedom and the nomadic DIY ethos filling unexpected locations with rhymes and massive beats.

Ed Cox () is back in Portugal for this special edition Tekquinox B2B Hard Sessions!

LIFE4LAND’s co founder Ed Cox’s ‘CLOWNCORE’ has had international recognition due to his unique performances. Fusing traditional music with ska, jungle and breakcore, Ed Cox wraps the lot in his live performances whilst playing the accordion.

Producing tracks since 2000 and having built a solid reputation around Europe, Ed Cox remains driven to perform and is not one to shy away from any opportunities. He can often be found bringing his performances to the street, busking with accordion in hand over his backing tracks.

Mark Angelo

After a brief stint as a cleaner at the Gillette factory, Mark Angelo Harrison traded his mop for a pen and moved to London, immersing himself in the DJ and art scene. While working at a print shop, a late-night experiment with a laser copier led to an unexpected revelation—an ammonite’s spiral became a symbol of life, evolution, and chaos. Inspired, he left his job to co-found Spiral Tribe.
Today, Mark is a writer, photographer, and artist.

Feenix 13

Feenix 13, a founding member of Spiral Tribe, was key to event organization, design, and décor. She shaped the sound system’s visual identity, creating flyers and conceptualizing event spaces. She also coined the term "Teknival," now synonymous with the underground movement.
In the late '90s, she played a similar role in Sound Conspiracy and embraced video as a design tool. Since 2000, she has been the resident designer for Audiotrix and specializes in digital imagery and animation for live VJ mixes.
Today, as SP23’s VJ and lead graphic designer, her digital remixes of archetypal imagery define the collective’s unique visual atmosphere.

A artwork maker and hard worker, Kamp.Artcore is the persona behind Tekquinox posters, visuals and stage installations. Close together with Gruta he's been growing our portfolio for visuals impact and growth on the cultural aspect of the Free Party scene. Also a DJ and VJ, he's an instigator for events and new connections thru art and creativity.

"Before meeting Spiral Tribe in 1991, Ixindamix lived on the road with a horse and cart and moved across the British countryside with the horse-drawn travellers. Whenever she found a good site for a party she’d give the Spirals a call and the sound system would be magically spirited in.

Ixindamix began her musical career in 1992 after leaving the horse-drawn and joining the Spiral’s convoy of matt black trucks. Collecting records with an irrepressible energy, she quickly became one of the sound system’s central performers. With her DJ sets filling floors week after week, she began honing her synthesiser skills in the sound system’s mobile studio. The resulting livesets rapidly became popular in countries all over Europe, and she became well known for her tantalising analogue improvisation and twinkling frequency mischief.

Co-founding the Audiotrix record label in 2000, she has steered it to a position of respect and helped break a stream of new artists on the label. Adding an online digital and vinyl shop to Audiotrix in the last two years, she is a pivotal figure in the European scene.

Today, Ixindamix plays at international events every weekend while working in the studio through the week. Injecting charisma and sparkling personality into every set, her ability to whip a dancefloor into sheer euphoria has made her highly sought after across the continent. "

Mickey Meltdown (dj set) [SP23]

"Meltdown Mickey began DJing in 1989 at some of the early UK warehouse parties. As an original member of the Spiral Tribe sound system, he became well known for his distinctive morning sets. Often seeing in the dawn, he smoothed the harder sounds of the night out into the warm, rolling grooves of sunrise. He was also a key player in pushing boundaries ever further and was at the head of the convoy of tank transporters hauling decommissioned Mig fighter jets out of Berlin to make the first inroads into the Czech Republic

He has played at a variety of major events and festivals over the last twenty years including Nordik Impakt and Glastonbury. In 2000 he co-founded Audiotrix, and his influence in sourcing talent and developing artists has been essential to the label’s success. Running much of the label’s logistics, he helped launch its record shop arm in 2011.

Meltdown Mickey’s deep, funky sound has gained him international recognition over the past 20 years. Today, he brings a depth of soul to the mix that is both fresh and eternal."
