Someone spotted this vintage cherub lamp and took it home for just $20.

But the real surprise came when they started checking that incredible pink and white glass bead fringe. Strand by strand, they looked for the damage you’d almost expect to find on something this old.

Not a single strand was broken.

Then they flipped it over and found the L&L WMC marking, confirming the mid-century maker.

Finding the lamp would have been exciting enough. Finding it with all that delicate original fringe still intact feels almost ridiculous.

The ocean took broken glass and spent decades turning it into this. 🌊

Once sharp, jagged pieces of discarded glass.

Then the waves took over.

Tumbled against sand and stone again and again, the sharp edges slowly disappeared and the surfaces became soft and frosted.

Eventually, what was once broken came back looking almost like gemstones.

I think the colors make it even harder to believe these started as ordinary pieces of glass.

Would you collect these if you found them along the beach?

Someone thrifted almost every piece in this display, and somehow seeing them arranged by color makes the whole collection look completely different.🌈
