Força Portugal for investing in its future 💧
In a major step toward climate resilience in a region where drought is becoming the new normal, Portugal is building a new €107.9M desalination plant in the Algarve, a plan that will turn Atlantic seawater into 43.2 million liters of drinking water daily. 💪
Developed by Águas do Algarve and backed by Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, it’s set to be completed in 2028. 🌍
Thanks to for this graphic and the incredible news!
We really hope that this plan stays on track and gets water to the Portuguese as soon as possible. 🙏
