It’s rare to hear a child’s musical expression through an artistic ear - and even more so, an impromptu performance
In this recording, 6-year-old Ula from Lithuania walked into her father’s music room, noticed a microphone was connected, and simply began to play and have fun. Her father hit record, and to his surprise, she started singing in her own made-up language, improvising melodies with total freedom
The sound captures something so alive and free, something often absent from today’s artistic practice. Releasing this little recording is a way to invite more of these spaces into being
